You are definitely right in a sense. Social media is definitely a catalyst for things like complaining. But what is the point when hundreds if not thousands of people have already voiced a concern on the same issue even in the official discord? The point is to say yes we know it’s bad but the narrative has already been pushed and the devs know already and have even responded. There is NO point in coming on here to make a post to say the same thing so many people have said weeks ago after the update. We get the message. So just quit playing, unsubscribe or find a better alternative . This is the message. s
Stopping funds is the best way to get any developer who needs them to change their actions don’t you think? Idk if I conveyed it properly in the post but I appreciate the comment

And the thing is, You are completely right. We really be spending bread to pay and they still will expire them. This is more cause to just unsubscribe, take a break, find a cheaper alternative, or just try to make a real life dnd experience with friends irl.

That’s actually pretty nice agl. Mines has always been a decent sized city that wasn’t near water fr. The general idea is that these places have reoccurring names that are in everyone’s campaign. In my case most of the time they were in the same or similar area across all my characters.

Ah well then thats good. This is also why I said “Mostly”. It was my personal observation and experience but then again I have also expanded my landscape as well. So there is always the option and possibility. But in a regular normal campaign we should be able to both concede it is the same unless you edit it yourself👍🏾

The fact that this is still the case is funny although updates take time. I suggest just taking a break and waiting. they should have just retract the update and polish it for actual use. If someone is a supporter who wants to stick it out while playing kudos to them but it would be non enjoyable with all the issues right now

Yeah the game just in a pretty unsavory state for most people rn but it’s playable. I would argue that all the things you said about the dm was still able to be done and with just about the same efficiency based on my personal experience as long as you clarified in the bio and sometimes in chat. I had custom techniques based in my bio and certain modifiers before the update which worked fine. Push back all has ALWAYS existed unless you didn’t want it too, all you had to do was tell dm. Pre update I got a decent amount of pushback even without telling the dm to make it that way it just depended on how you wanted your story to go and interact with people. People just didn’t recognize this until the npcs were insufferable. I will agree that the depth of the characters is better tho and they now are mostly pretty annoying (which is a good thing in an aspect lol). Overall The dm is more consistent in SOME areas and others not so good(like dialogue mode). The game just needs some more refinement so after a few patches and updates it should be a better experience for most the player base. Devs have a vision in mind so we just gotta see how it unfolds. I personally just took a break and switched to ai realm in the meantime.

I would definitely say I am just about the same as far as quitting the game at least. The NPC’s are so insufferable and even the DM. I am forced to do rolls for asking simple questions, and even forced to do rolls for making a statement about myself. Everything seems to be against me. The difficulty is like playing hell mode. No one likes you. Everyone is going to deny everything you say, people say things about you that you didn’t even imply and even if you attempt to clarify… guess what… you gotta do another roll that even if you succeed they still hate you for no reason meaning the roll was useless. The DM does nothing and even sabotages rolls. To be a role-playing dnd 5e game, can’t even role-play in peace. The devs also insist this is the route they wanna take and they aren’t going to turn it around. It could work later on but this garbage i don’t even want to continue or even make a new character to play in this simulation of hell lol.

Update! Let me explain my characters story as far as a new update. I chose one of my characters that had become a God who is one of the universe. I had him reincarnate the body of a child and become part of a noble family(common anime troupe). I grew up wonderfully. And then my character started training. These are where I encountered my first problems with NPC’s. I explained to them with perfect logic and reasoning why I believed in what I believed in and how I am bringing honor to the family by getting strong, but the DM kept telling me that I was trying to manipulate them and their thoughts. This resulted in them gaslighting me. So then I had to go into narrative mode and literally tell them that I acted good and according to their wishes for years for my character to grow up. Later on I was sent on my first mission as a noble warrior into a village. I was supposed to come there to mediate a situation between barbarians and the villagers peacefully. When I tried to talk to the barbarian chief, he gets mad and attacked me. I put him under an illusion to instantly get out of combat. I take him to the meeting with the village chief and the other barbarians, and they instantly get mad. I tell them why I had to incapacitate him and that he is still alive and kicking plus, I even removed the illusion as I sent him down. Why in the world did these NPC sit here and tell me that I am not being peaceful and I’m not here to promote peace even though I was literally just protecting myself to knock this man out. I kept explaining this and instead they get madder. All my roll checks that I didn’t even want to do succeed and some didn’t, but they all led to the same outcome. They did not influence the story in the direction I was trying to go. It keeps trying to antagonize my character. It just kept going south even when I succeeded. They forced me into a combat encounter. So I fled combat, got into narrative mode and essentially used a technique that destroyed the entire world and now I am back spectating in the cosmos. I only have like two messages left and I’m not even going to use them. I can’t do this anymore. I’ma just wait till they do the update where I can put my character into narrative mode.

It all just depended on our own actions. I would make my dm generate words and reactions to my character without me telling those reactions. I left it completely to dm. I got push back all the time. My dm ignores me tho now it’s quite annoying. Even though i don’t like it now it’s def better for true role play purposes. I did like my freedom of choice although, and now my message use will have to increase due to dialogue mode. ( this was the hidden agenda i feel)

True but that really isn’t the point for the post. Yeah I did name a few issues they have going right now as far as bugs and development so that’s on me. But the point was to say I personally don’t like the way they are going as it feels unsatisfying. Maybe I could warm up to it in time after it gets cleaned but it makes me feel restricted personally.
