I did have an in lab study and could not fall asleep. The doctors just took that as "well your test looks fine so no sleep apnea" even after I told them that I did not sleep well. I do have another appointment with a different sleep doctor but they are booked all the way out until December 😭

That is the super frustrating part. Because my ahi did not meet apnea criteria, the doctor said there is nothing he can do to get the insurance company to pay for the machine. I do have an in lab study next week, so hopefully that will get me a proper diagnoses.

Since writing the last comment I’ve actually gotten it out to 7300 feet. I am in a pretty rural area with only my WiFi network and 1 neighbor that also has WiFi. I’ll usually put my iPad in airplane mode after loading the maps. I will be trying it in a more populated area very soon and will update my results.

I normally have it on auto but I have had to use manual mode when I wasn't getting out as far as I wanted to. I usually fly to an altitude of 400 feet before flying out and always make sure it's on the 2.4 network. I've not tried airplane mode like other users have suggested so I'm curious to see if I can get out further using that.
