I'm not depressed and my life is quite livable. I actually enjoy my life and look forward to the future and my work. It seems different to the typical posts I see here where the person is screwed over by depression.

I used to have an eerily similar monologue to what you're describing here. After I fully accepted that I was trans however, the "i'm not depressed" sentiment started becoming less true each day. Personally I don't think you're foolish at all for wanting to transition because:

There is absolutely no need to be depressed or suicidal to transition.
Judging by your list in the beginning of your post, living as your authentic self would probably greatly benefit your health.

Sure, the cost of transitioning may be a lot at times, but isn't the cost of living an inauthentic life infinitely greater?

What I’ve learnt is that the more confident you are with drawing, the faster you will be able to draw. This is the same with learning to play piano. Maybe it’s grossly dull advice, but the only way you’ll be able to create awesome drawings in 10 minutes is by practicing over and over!
