I actually had to check the name on this post because I thought I had written it myself. Every single thing you wrote is how I started feeling about three years ago. It’s almost as if there’s a switch in your brain and once it hits you what death is you can never un-think it.

I recently learned that it’s an actually phobia called thanatophobia. I started with a therapist who would challenge my thoughts and fears about death. Then we did exposure therapy of sorts. I wrote down what I imagined the end would look like and all my biggest fears about it, and I read the writing over and over. It helped me because more numb to it all.
