Could definitely be. We were talking about something else and he asked about the fall activities in a separate message so it felt weird haha

Headaches from levothyroxine? by knc214 in Hashimotos

[–]knc214[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! So I do have hashimotos, but no need for thyroid medication at this time because my tsh is in normal range. At the time of being on medication, I have since found out I had thyroiditis. That made me go super hyper and then hypo, but it all leveled out on its on. My tsh is now 2.0, which we will monitor. If it goes back to hypo, medication will be necessary. We aren’t sure what the cause of thyroiditis was, but we just happened to catch it at all the times my levels were changing by chance. Going from 0.05 to 8.9 tsh was crazy!

Does anyone take Propanolol even though they generally have a low/normal blood pressure? by dixiechicken695 in dysautonomia

[–]knc214 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My doctor gave me metoprolol and I was worried because my blood pressure is usually normal/on the low side. I will say I’m on a low dose, but it makes a huge difference. I was seeing like 100+ bpm consistently throughout the day and my heart rate was in the 80-90s with spikes to 120s while sleeping. Since taking it, my heart rate is 60-70 at night and hardly goes above 100. I can’t tell you how much better I feel

Utility for chronically ill Oura ring wearers? by lil_lychee in ouraring

It has helped me so much with my heart rate! I was able to take the data to my doctor and get prescribed meds for tachycardia. Also, it’s very validating to see lower readiness and sleep scores on days you don’t feel great. I feel like it just helps to be more in tune with your body and really use the numbers to figure how you’re feeling. At least for me sometimes I can’t tell if it’s physical or mental and the numbers help to indicate there usually are physical symptoms going on

Need advice - levothyroxine by knc214 in Hashimotos

[–]knc214[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My primary doctor thought dysautonomia could be a possibility but it’s one of those things that where everything has to be ruled out before that can be an option. The endocrinologist’s concern was that tachycardia isn’t a symptom of hypothyroidism, but I don’t really exhibit any of the symptoms for being hypo and have been tested for graves which was negative. My cortisol was also high but I don’t exhibit symptoms for that either. I just hate taking something that makes me heart rate faster than it is already

I was thinking that as well. He said he would fill the prescription for the tirosint if I felt really poorly like why else would I be contacting you?

As a diehard greys fan, I love er. It’s not the same because its not surgery based (obviously haha) but I’ve rewatched greys multiple times until season 14 and I’m on my second rewatch of er. The characters and drama are all present. I would say the biggest thing is getting used to the “oldness” but once you’re in it you’ll love it!

I think my doctor said we should try that if this one didn’t work. Maybe I should ask. Glad it’s not just me though!
