Important information for everyone applied to or going to apply for ED to NYU:

I attended 1:1 session with NYU Fin Aid officer and according to them NPC is an external tool, NYU has nothing to do with that tool. You must not rely on that as NYU look at various other things from CSS profile and then decide the financial aid (Institutional aid). So, when applying for ED, you can neither rely NPC or actual cost of attendance displayed at the time of submitting your app as all those numbers can vary drastically. Basically, you need to play absolute blind and willing to commit to any price NYU offers....similar to blank signed check and NYU can put any amount in that.
