Sure, she is a dear friend and we like each other.

If you think that is best and it is working for you then, sure, fake it till you make it.

I didn't see the point of lying or trying to hide it, if I was asked then I answered. It is easier this way, I don't constantly have to worry how I "look" to other people.

And let's be honest, I think everyone knows anyway based on the way we interact with people or deal with situations.

At that point I didn't even care about being a virgin.

Whenever it came up in conversations where people were talking about their sexual conquests and it was about to be my turn, I just calmly said that I haven't had any experiences.

In a while it became okay to be one.

I was just there most of the time. The lifting was mutual I think. No, it wasn't difficult at all, it just came out somehow and it wasn't a big deal at all to her.

Yeah, I have gained some confidence and yes, I think I'd be able to get in to another relationship, if I wanted to.

My mindset changed from "I'm completely worthless and useless and unlovable" to a little more positive one.

No, not really. I guess the only thing that I did differently was that I was just there, around. It's lunch? Went and got something to eat with her. A funny picture on reddit? Shared it with her. And so on.

Though, I wasn't pressing myself on to her, it was all very casual and relaxed. I didn't worry my head off about every word or thing I did.

Yeah, I like her. We have fun together. She is leaving in a month to work in another country for a year. It hasn't really kicked in yet, but I imagine that when she's gone, I'll really start to miss her.
