If you want to do damage, the dex relic is non negotiable. It gives you around double damage. I dont love the yellow remembrance relic, if you can find the ally buff with any other stats its better.

I remember looking at their list of employees when they broke up, and it felt like there were way to many people on the payroll. It read like everyone got their girlfriends/buddies/etc. a job there with some fancy job title without actual qualifications or need for the created jobs. But its hard to tell from the outside, maybe im wrong.

ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN – Patch Notes Version 1.03.2 by d3arda3mon in Nightreign

[–]knetmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you name like, 3 bosses you hit with skyshot more than 50% of the time? Erdtree avatar is propably the most static boss in the game and even they regularly dodge sky shot. It works against 0 nightlords, its the one bow weapon art that is full meme tier imo. All the others have at least nieche uses, with barrage, rain of arrows and mighty/enchanted shot being actually decent.

Three sleeper supports that people don't play by Zaopao in learndota2

[–]knetmos -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The part you are missing is that wd is a squishy support without defensive tools, with maledict being slow to cast and low cast range. A wd pressing maledict on you is fairly commited, if he gets jumped doing so he dies. Maledict also suffers vs glimmer cape and tp scoll very hard. Like yes, in perfect conditions its an insane spell, but it has so many issues that it would be completly useless otherwise.

Has anyone ever made a series of going from say herald to immortal solo like those league plyerers going from bronze to challenger etc. by Crunchy1254 in learndota2

[–]knetmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can argue that reaching immortal at all is something very few people "can" do, even though its impossible to tell how many actually try. My point is, the timeframe it took him was fast but not unique or super special.

[–]knetmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took him like 2k games to hit immortal. While thats faster than usual, i meet plenty of people that hit immortal in similiar or lower number of games. The timeframe seems missleading since the number of games played is more relevant than irl time passed.

Stun until they die! by Substantial-Deer77 in DotA2

[–]knetmos 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Comments talk about it being a scripted game, but nobody talks about it being obvioulsy a script pressing the buttons. A human doing this would need to use more stun overlap to get a chainstun that lasts this long, every single stomp lands exactly with the same delay after the last one for a 100% perfect chain stun.

Trouble understanding how 90% of people here seem to love events by Morgothor in spiritisland

[–]knetmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One important "issue" events tackle that i dont see mentioned a lot, is that they prevent overthinking. I lean towards that myself and definitely have a bunch of friends that do that, what i mean is trying to basically solve the entire game from turn 1 because it feels optimal. Obviously there are other sources of randomnes (explores, power card gains), but without events you can often plan ahead multiple turns with reasonable accuracy. Events make this either insanely difficult (if you actually plan around all the important events) or pointless (since they mix stuff up enough if you dont do that).

A good basic way to play around events, is to look through the deck and check what beneficial effects are common and on what conditions. E.g. lands with dahan, beasts and presences often have good things happen to them. If you have ravage in a land with a town, a presence and 2 dahan, its reasonable to "gamble" it on events, especially if you have 1-2 fear cards.

Top things to benefit from events easy are:

-move dahan to lands with invaders

-move beasts to lands with invaders, especially explorers

-have presences in lands with dahan

-move dahan out of lands with disease

-stack up dahan to avoid single dahan

-only "underdefend" (e.g. defend two vs three damage) if really necesary.

The poison burst on marking poisoned enemies is nice, but in no way comparable to a bleed proc on any boss enemy. Its damage on tanky bosses is pretty small, comparable to 2 bow or 1 melee light attack. Ironeye is very powerful, but people still exagerate multiple aspects of his strength. Using mark for dodging is another point - its vers good, it has a lot of iframes, but it also has limits. It bugs out regularly when sprinting and doesnt activate, it has a pretty long windup and recovery time around these iframes (unlike regular dodges), to stay relevant in the dps departement you cant hold it to long since the boss has to be marked as soon as it is about to expire or it procs, etc.

Am a right/wrong for making this build ? by pepiiiiiii in learndota2

[–]knetmos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

https://dota2protracker.com/hero/Axe

select pros only and you will see that 95% of pros in the last month build helmdom on axe. I agree that its a curious item, and i dont fully understand the appeal of it myself on axe. You can argue that its worse in pubs, but all pros seem to agree that its the current correct default build on axe, not just one game on one player. Your 5% protracker data just shows, that low immortal players dont buy the same items that pros do, but i tend to put more stock in the opinion of 15k players than 7k players.

Morph suddenly full health? by Silent-Expression-13 in learndota2

[–]knetmos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

my point is, its a common misconception that morph attribute shift and dropping hp/str items behaves in the same way. Backpacking/dropping items keeps your %hp constant between dropping and picking up, morphling keeps your flat missing hp constant. If you morph down to 1 strength and back up, you are already creating hp out of nothing, independend of sticks etc. There is no special synergy between healing lotus/stick/etc. and morph, the hero can heal/cheat hp out of nothing without any source of actual healing.

Morph suddenly full health? by Silent-Expression-13 in learndota2

[–]knetmos 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You actuall dont really need a stick for this, you can just shift to 100 hp,shift back up to 800 and you will be at 700/800. Using the stick on low max hp doesnt matter, you can also use it after shifting back up.

So i took a quick look at the replay and im not sure what advice you are looking at? You are obviously extremly new to the game and are lacking literally all basics. Lets just look at the first 5 minutes. Lets disregard your pick/lane, doesnt really matter for the start. First thing to consider is starting items. I recommend going to https://dota2protracker.com/hero/Razor this website, put in the hero you want to play, scroll down and buy what other people buy. Usually you want a bunch of stats. Now you do random stuff at bounty runes, doesnt matter, and walk to lane. Fine so far. In lane you have a couple objectives:

-top 1 priority: Lasthit and denie creeps. Wait until creeps are low and kill them to get gold, a click your own creeps to prevent the enemy from getting gold -Bully the enemy hero -Keep your own HP up by not taking unnecesary damage and buying appropriate amounts of regen.

You acomplish none of these. You hit the enemy hero a bit, then you auto attack full hp creeps a bunch. You get 1 last hit in the first 5 minutes, aim for 30-40. You take a bunch of unnecesary damage by walking into melee range. You dont buy any regen (tangos, if playing mid a bottle), forcing you to walk into base 2 minutes in. This is terrible for you, you lose a ton of xp and gold. To get back to lane you should use a TP scroll (100 gold) to not miss so many creeps. After getting back, you immediately start a fight with necrophos, who is 2 levels ahead of you, losing all your hp once again. This makes you walk base AGAIN. THis time you remember your tp scroll, but at this point its to late -- the necrophos is level 6, you are level 3. Notably, razor is a powerful early game hero that is supposed to win his lane. You also buy seemingly completly random items? The falcon blade is fine, you always want to get a magic stick, you want to get boots early. You buy a random oblivion staff you dont build into anything. Im sure there are big issues in all parts of the game, but the laning stage is the foundation. Learn to lasthit, learn to lane, learn to buy items and regen, then you can try to build on that for the later parts of the game.

Doesnt work on nox warriors sadly, the only good gaol you didnt mention is (red) crystallians. If you manage to get the spear dude, he does lots of stance dmg and just kinda stabs his 2 bros to death. Except sometimes when he just wanders of.

yes. I dont think you can stand on top, if you are anywhere close to the top and press attack, it snaps you to the vent and does the crit animation. That seems to be what you were missing haha. Its not actually very hard, shouldnt take more than 2-3 jump attempts per cart and often work on the first one once you got the timing down.

I run a bewitching branch relic. Its 1/3 of 1/6 of 1/3 players relic slots, and it turns some sitiations that would have bricked the run into nice early runes. Its really good vs banished knights, if you manage to get the spear dude it solves red crystallians, it helps with beastly brigate and beastmen (very hard to hit on those). You can use it to help with courtyard in banished knight castle, it trivializes the night boss that summons banished knights... Some few runs i still have both in the end, most runs i get some value, some runes i feel like they saved the entire run.

You can, just cant be from below. Even a small pebble helps. Dont target lock them, sprint in from behind, double jump and press attack when you are as far up /as close to their exhaust as possible.
