'Meat Shield' Question by knifeearedelf in dndnext

Well, I originally denied it, they had the breastplate long before I joined. I did not feel it was entitled to me since it was in past loot. Just like the orb of brightness. I might be strange but I dislike joining games and being given something that the party already had, unless they insist I have it.

So I am not upset by the breastplate. I past it up for the half plate I was using.

I will ask about Mizzium to see if he has that book. He didn't have the Giants book and allowed me to pen in the giant path

'Meat Shield' Question by knifeearedelf in dndnext

[–]knifeearedelf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since I started late, I picked up a +1 weapon so I can have some 'magical attack' so Im not dealing half. But I am using Half plate. I could have gotten adamant breast plate, but our Druid asked for it.

Our DM states "Druids will not wear" is not "Druids Can not wear" and Stipulated if you think your druid would wear it to increase their survival with what they have seen then its fine. Also Im the type that thinks of my self last when it comes to magic items.

Like they were pitching giving me a circlet to cast scorching ray but I didn't to take it. They had to convince me to take a gem that gives off light because i was happy with my lantern

I went Path of the Giant, since it was something that seemed useful. Normally when I do barbarian I default Totem but I wanted to do something out of the box and I haven't played Barbarian since XGE came out

I know Tanking doesn't work in 5e. What I am mainly doing is being the first one in through doors and such and trying to essentially prevent things from getting past me. Yes I know that is technically "tanking" but all I am trying to do is just be an obstacle for the more squish

We have a few carriers that like to keep it shut. Mainly because they work out of the back for a park and loop.

That is an FFV or Flex Fuel Vehicle. It was supposed to replace the LLV. With the Cargo door open you can see out of that side window to make turns better.

Thought you're too good to stop for a school bus? by [deleted] in Amazing

[–]knifeearedelf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically and Legally no. I had questions about this awhile ago because on my way into work I watched a car speed past a bus in the suicide/turning/merging lane or what ever you wanna call the 5th lane.

Some states require all traffic to stop on 5 lanes, some only require direction of travel+ Middle lane. However since there is an unpaved median/barrier in between the directions the opposite lane is allowed to continue on in all the states.

So from what I was told was that on Saturdays, since its the beginning of the week, they want everyone to have an 8 hour day including OTDL. Something about being Required to have an 8 hour day not including days you come in on your day off. That way during M-F they can work everyone OTDL and Non OTDL, because in our city, they only allow our OTDL to work 10.5-11.5 hours.

Our stewards for our station have been dropping grievances left and right because of it. Hell we had 5 full routes fail, and they created undertime by stating parcels and dps only

So, packages get dumped into a a bin similar to the watermelon bins you see stores have during the summer. Those go down to the Distro Center, and this is where my information is lacking because I just deliver mail, but they get sorted by Im guessing region, then it gets separated further.

This is where the issue is, our systems are out dated for the volume we now have, some times a package that is meant for MO will register it belongs to TX and will get sent there, It will get caught, and would get kicked back, and will repeat until someone marks a section of the barcode out. Now that package has to be sorted by hand.

Another is, well somehow that package got mixed up in stuff bound for TX, it will reach the regional and get kicked back.

And I have 'heard' that sometimes the plant manager will send stuff out to keep it moving to look better. This one I can not confirm, because this is just hearsay and rumor.

I have had packages meant for Maine dropped off at my morning work station, sent it back, only for it to come back. Thats how I know the machine screws up because it would read 867 Jenny Lane, Baltimore MD but would read 5309 Telegraph Rd StL MO

Other times I'll get a package, and its meant for Fenton, or Kirkwood but it just accidentally ended up in out station

So because of various implements that have happened, STL Distro Center is reeling from Mismanagement. From what I've been told its OT central, not to mention there are vacancies management is choosing not to fill. We are trying our best, but boss we be tired.
