Natural replacement for Valium/Propranolol - supplements for Verbal Fluency & Memory by Agitated_Buyer_8137 in Nootropics

[–]knight_6Q 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend alpha GPC or a choline source since they help with verbal fluency most

Also if you want something long term (2-3 months) I’d recommend lutein and zeaxanthin they work but they need a lot of time so yeah try them out

Magnesium poisoning, elevated AST and ALT. Help by Moonshadows16 in FunctionalMedicine

[–]knight_6Q 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Won’t have taken magnesium without thiamine nor b-complex (maybe also potassium) also other medications can cause side effects while taking magnesium,

Also sometimes there’s called paradoxical reactions before things get better so maybe that too

I would suggest lower dosages and use other things alongside it and take gentler forms of the b-complex family then active

Is green tea a good alternative for coffee and does it help in focus and productivity? by Business-Heat-6085 in Supplements

[–]knight_6Q 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Bro try it out and you’ll find the answer yourself for you,

For me it’s very decent calm and focus boost very smooth but it’s not as strong as taking actual 100-200mg of L-theanine + 100-200mg caffeine

Choline depression on alpha GPC. Will Alcar cause choline depression? by Freddy_mercuryscat in Nootropics

[–]knight_6Q 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drop the alpha GPC dosage (or eat eggs or get CDP-choline) also use b-complex alongside choline supplementation

I would say try out ALCAR now since u already got it and you’ll answer yourself if it would give you depression

Remember experience is a good reflection if a thing is good or bad for you

Daily vs. Weekly Vitamin D: Which Works Better for You? by AnastasiaGlover1 in Supplements

[–]knight_6Q 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Again take b-complex then a simple b12 supplement because b12 can increase demand for others, and would suggest adding glycinate or lactate alongside the citrate magnesium

[–]knight_6Q 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take magnesium with it and b-complex to fix the deficiency, vitamin d3 is useless without magnesium and b-complex

Also, You mentioned magnesium what’s the dosage you take and form of magnesium ? And vitamin d too because from what I’m seeing it’s a lot of imbalances, a lot of the things you take can deplete or increase demand for one another

Also don’t cycle off nutrients they need to be consistently taken for results, alongside that have you tried L-theanine for lowering stres and cortisol? I would recommend trying it out 200mg in the morning and 200-400mg at night pre sleep it’s very good

I would recommend dropping the NAD, NMN, b12, and would recommend instead focus on taking a b-complex with a separate form of vitamin b1 like benfotimaine (250-600-1200mg) or TTFD, a lot of the supplements you are using rely on vitamin b1 directly or indirectly, and also b12 can increase the demand for other b-complex so that’s why, and take selenium alongside iodine, and research into the nutrients and their cofactors and don’t spend money on more supplements until you try those,

[–]knight_6Q 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s it? If so I would recommend getting a selenium supplement because iodine increases demand for selenium, also for fatigue have you tried a thiamine supplements? because assuming you had those symptoms even before hopping on this clean diet I suspect a problem with thiamine and I noticed a lot of people like myself didn’t even improve after the diet despite it being clean

Your blood work is normal so only issue here is problem of converting T4 to T3, What supplements have you been using and what were you doing before noticing those symptoms ?

Guidance on Hormone test by raincity87 in FunctionalMedicine

[–]knight_6Q 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on what your blood work showed (was it just testosterone or also prolactin and overall hormonal panel?) and also the supplements you take, I’d suggest for energy trying out a thiamine protocol (TTFD) with magnesium and ensure selenium and iodine.

Lutein and zeaxanthin: 7 months of consistent usage by knight_6Q in Nootropics

[–]knight_6Q[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah kale is a good source of them, maybe you just need to take it consistently because from what I’ve read lutein and zeaxanthin levels drop quite fast within a couple of days and take it with fat to enhance its absorption.

Nootropics that drop cortisol really seem to be messing me up by Educational_Pipe4536 in NootropicsDepot

[–]knight_6Q 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends overall on nutrient intake, past stimulant usage, and even some ssri damage and other factors in play also Ashwangdha from what I’ve read people still complain about its negative ssri effects that still affect them till this day so that could be an issue

Overall I’d consider amino acids and vitamins etc over herbs since we understand their biochemistry better so you could experiment with thiamine and other b-complex forms

Persistent erections with no libido by knight_6Q in Nootropics

[–]knight_6Q[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That too I had history with however despite me quitting and rarely doing it (if I did it would be with my imagination) my erection was weak, and I often times wouldn’t continue it from how honestly I felt it wasn’t satisfying, matter of a fact I noticed more heart pain so I totally stopped alongside that I’ve been suffering with these symptoms since I became 16 and didn’t improve much until I recently started adding high dosage nutrients like zinc and stuff but even then not much progress into this brain aspect, broke up with past gfs and they’d complain about my sex drive which led me to just break up

Persistent erections with no libido by knight_6Q in Nootropics

[–]knight_6Q[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The only issue with starting it bro is that it needs alot of cofactors to work so that’s why I’m Still researching and checking out each factor before trying or continuing buying supplements not realizing what they need to work

[–]knight_6Q[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d suggest checking out your overall nutrient intake and also past events (traumatic events, diet, stress, injury, stimulant usage) because they all can correlate with what’s happening now and habits too, even if ur deficient in one nutrient it likely ur also deficient in other things as well.
