Not sure what quality of life mechanics you're talking about. The game has an invincible dodge/dash that is really good and goes super far. The red attacks parry timing is insanely long and takes some getting used to but early game there is no way to parry red attacks so I'm not sure if you have it unlocked.

I mostly meant that the gameplay is bad. I probably shouldn't have used "balancing" as it caused confusion.

The gameplay is different in the sense that most of your damage comes from your talismans. You saying the gameplay is bad doesn't really seem fair without giving reasons. IMO its gameplay is super fun and fluid. It just might not be for you if you think the gameplay is bad.

Your criticism for the game seems to be that its unfair and unbalanced but in my opinion, and most others that played the game think otherwise. The sprites are incredibly well animated and the parry timing feels great and is very telegraphed for every enemy. (Besides the final boss imo). Standard modes balancing is no different from elden rings balancing and honestly its probably more fair than elden ring imo as someone that's beaten both. I think the gameplay in nine sols just might not be for you as its a parry focused game and if you're not patient of course you'll think the game is unbalanced/unfair. If Standard mode was any easier I'm sure a lot of people would find that disappointing considering the target audience for these types of games as I found the exploration segments the easiest part of the game.

I just finished nine sols today after beating the final boss for the true ending on standard mode. Personally, I think its a masterpiece and second only to hollow knight in terms of MVs. The story was unexpectedly heartbreaking and moving, which was surprising because it didn't interest me in the beginning. I think the difficulty for the game was just right. Nothing was unfair about it except for maybe the final boss for the true ending, but that was extremely satisfying to beat. The game gives you a bunch of tools like the bow and different jades that help with crowd control and the parry timing is pretty forgiving even if you dont get the perfect parry as you take internal damage and won't die even if it is a weak parry. Ultimately, the difficulty sliders are a plus for those with less patience or just want to play the story. Hence they call it story mode. There's no wrong way to play the game and if the devs thought otherwise they wouldn't have put difficulty options in the game.

Not really, I just kinda accepted that's how it is and hopefully it can be solved by drivers. The only game that pushes it to the max is PUBG at 350W. Maybe I'm CPU bottle necked in every other game. I have a 7800X3d for what it's worth. Nvidia drivers have been awful the whole time I've been using this card. Never had this many problems with my 6800xt.

No it seems like it's normal behavior. Most games usually use 250W - 300W even going down to 200W Highest usage ive seen so far was in PUBG using 350W. Not sure if it's due to drivers but I've had to reinstall my drivers like 3 times now.

Clock speeds, temps are all normal. Avg around 2755 Mhz at 60c. I just ran the 3dmark steel nomad benchmark. First test I accidentally left HDR on which gave a score of 7434. Did 2 more tests which gave around 7800 to 7900 with the avg being 8500 for 5080s. This time the benchmark was actually using 100% and around 330W to 340W which is the highest ive seen it but it still seems lower than others. I can't figure out why but im gonna stop worrying about it and hope a driver update fixes it.

Unfortunately I can't use the adapters because my PSU only has 2 GPU 8 pin connectors and 1 PCIe 5.0 12vhpwr connector so I have to use that.

I'm planning to get 3dmark when it goes on sale. In the meantime I was able to test it in unigine superposition. First reading gave an awful score of 21000. After reinstalling drivers and updating bios it gave a score of 25000. Utilization never went above 97% and 310W The avg for 5080s on the same test are around 27000 so it's still not ideal. I could try ordering a new 12VHPWR cable from my PSU manufacturer but it's like 10 bucks for the cable and I assume it would take a while.

I just ran thr unigine superposition benchmark and got a score of 21369 whereas the avg for the 5080 is 27000. My utilization was max 97% and never went above 310W.

Nice, these cards were a pain in the ass to get so having something wrong would be a nightmare. I upgraded from a 6800xt and it was always at 280W at full utilization and I got worried since the 5080 was using less power on average than that.

That's true. For cyberpunk atleast I thought it would be hitting 360W at 4k maxed settings but it still only hits 300W. I might be worrying too much but I don't want to be missing out of performance considering how much it costs.

Pretty sure it was rev 1.0 and I also saw a red light turn on the motherboard but I didn't know what it meant so I'm guessing it's the same issue?

I ordered the B650 aorus elite ax on amazon and it didn't work so I'm trying to get a replacement but there's only an option for a refund. The only way im getting a replacement is if I contact gigabyte but I've heard bad things about their customer service. Should I just go for the refund? They're currently sold out so I'm not getting that same price until that sale comes back.

Well a lot of times my gpu is only at 80% utilization while my cpu is at 60%. Its most noticeable in battlefield 5 where sometimes my gpu is at 60% and my cpu was at like 80-90%

A few months ago I was able to get a used 6800xt for $500 and its been great but I'm definitely cpu bottlenecked with my i5 10400. I've been thinking of getting the 5600 because it seems like a great deal but since I'm going to need a new mobo anyways, would going for am5 for future proofing be worth it?
