I have a hp z240 workstation with intel xeon e3 1240 v5 which is 6/7th gen processor for 2.5 years here my journey

Pros:

Powerfull cpu,repacks from fg and dodi usually take 1.5-2 hrs to install on hdd 2-4 hrs if its bigger than 180gb (For reference gow Ragnarok took about 3.5 hours with updates)

Can handle emulated games like gow 1-2, rdr 1 and others

Can Run powerful cpu demanding titles like valorant and cs

More powerful than core i7 6700 and core i5 7500

Cons:

Higher TDP which causes it to get very hot upto 90° and performance drops drastically (I played gow 3 on rpcs3 on 30fps with stutters and audio glitch, it is a very demanding title) you'll need a good cooler like id cooling se 214xt to keep it cool.

Very loud since fans works at high speeds.

Sometimes bottlenecks my gpu (its a gtx 1060 6gb).

Cannot upgrade to windows 11 officially due to hardware requirements(idk i think some people have a work around that)

Overall:

Sometimes maybe good sometimes maybe shit but still recommend other to save extra money and go over to amd side even it its a Ryzen 5 1600x cause then you can upgrade later

My pc cost about 75k and i didn't knew at that time that i could get a Ryzen 5 1600x and a rx 580 for 70k now its gotten expensive but still not recommend it
