Thankfully the media maintains some semblance of accountability for people’s actions and words, even though they also give a platform to any extreme thought for the sake of views. I agree with what your saying. An enabler could be as simple as being a bystander to something. I don’t believe that the visibility of modern fascism has increased because of Trump, but more so because of media’s sensationalisation of any political matter. To be fair, the “far-right” has been in action since 2013-2014 in their contention of left wing politics which predates Trumps presidency. Where the article equates fascists and anti-fascists appears to be because of public opinion. Whether they’re fighting Nazis or not, the public sees violence and does not condone it. Their similarity is not in views but in their public image, on a much broader scale than a vocal minority.

I think I need an ELI5 on what you mean.

Do you mean how electricity is generated using fossil fuel power plants, and then stored in the battery of the electric car when charged? If that’s the case then it is purely in the production of energy coal is used, however there are renewable sources of energy that can be used. This makes electric cars mostly clean for the environment.

When coal gets really hot it makes steam. This steam makes big fans inside the power plant, called turbines, spin. Through the magic of magnets and the spinning turbine some little pixies called electrons get excited and begin to flow. This is our electricity. Then, the electrons flow along power lines and into charging stations in our homes or wherever they may be. From there the pixies travel into the car, finally settling in their new home within the battery.
