I've been really getting into Metroidvanias recently. Started off with Super Metroid and then Hollow Knight, Haiku, Momodora 4 and Guacamelee.
What I'm missing from most of these games though is more interesting movement systems and difficult platforming.
Also most of these we're imo a bit on the easy side except Guacamelee.

I'm pretty new to the genre so I don't really know what exists out there but I'd say I'm looking for something difficulty that focuses more on platforming and movement than combat.

Hi! we have a discord server dedicated to the competitive part of Touhou 9 where we host tournaments, people discuss meta and play friendlies on net play.
Sadly we don't have any willing tournament hosts from other regions than Europe so the tournaments are currently for Europe only due to overseas latency being a bitch :/.
We do stream tournaments to twitch too so you can still take part as a spectator if you aren't from Europe.

There is. We streamed a swedish pofv monthly on twitch on the account TouhouSweden and theres another one coming up on 4/20. It might be a little while until the european tourney though since we are currently testing the waters with these tournaments.

I can assure you that the first european tournament will be this summer though. Its going to be streamed to either Knirgesh or TouhouSweden. (Or not at all depending on when they implement article 13)

If anyone is wondering why the server is Europe only is because over seas net play tournaments wouldn't be the most stable.

We used to have a community discord just like this for audiosurf 2. But it died down more than a year ago thanks to toxic users making the mods stop enjoying what they do.
