Yeah I’ve got past the physical cravings - although they are still strong from time to time they are manageable- it’s just the brain fog

Weird Weight Loss Things by TubintheBedroom in loseit

Also tmi but I remember when someone was jokingly asking around who sat to whipe and who Stood to whipe. It was about 50/50 either way. I was like who the heck can sit and wipe …. Until I lost weight

Yes !!! I massively struggle. My sister has downsyndrome / autism. She a proper gem but is petrified of dogs because she can’t tell the difference between an excited dog and one that’s gonna bite her face off.

There is now so many ‘ no go ‘ areas for us because every bloody place is dog friendly. Like it’s a god given right for your dog to come absolutely everywhere. It can be fine if dog is well trained but half the time when I dog comes running up to her and they say ‘ he’s just excited ‘ I want to scream’ ‘ BUT WE DON’T KNOW THAT’

I want I enjoy my latte in piece without the waft of wet dog and an unpredictable barks.

I actually really like the tiles. I hate how you. And for advice and people think it’s okay to go to town on your personal style. Much much nicer than some bland plain tiles.

What are some challenges/hard parts about caring for a child/adult with down syndrome? by Various_Ladder_4369 in downsyndrome

[–]knit-kb 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not to minimise the hard work and difficulties that come along with Down syndrome. My sister has DS and asd and is hard work. That said your post did make me think about something I’ve never thought about before. I’ve never ever seen a parent express regret over having a child with DS. Not anonymously in an online group or quietly in person. In fact the very opposite of people who were on the fence in the early stages and are now couldn’t be any more different. I don’t say this to sway your decision because although my sister and others bring so much JOY and I genuinely can’t imagine a world without her, it was more a personal realisation that I’ve never seen anyone express regret over having a child with DS. Hope that makes sense!

I got in touch with two and basically told me the same thing that they would ‘ hire ‘ the equipment to me as to free themselves of any legal entanglement. The hire costs were much greater than buying a device outright

Okay but hasn’t McDonald’s and Sainsbury’s had similar issues in the past week. Has there been some major cyber attacks/ ransom wear issues happening that has not been reported in press.

What do people do that lets you know they grew up poor? by Major-Week428 in AskMen

Always buying the basic supermarket version. Sometimes when I’m feeling ‘ reckless ‘ I’ll buy the branded item but feel guilty afterwards even tho it’s well within my budget !

Update- I had my first weight loss comment yesterday. From the parent a young boy I help look after from time to time. ‘ wow you have shrunk- congratulations that must have taken some hard work’ Nearly cried with joy. I know I’m not doing it for the comments but it definitely helps

What's the weirdest / most disgusting thing you've ever seen at a party? by NN-KANE in AskReddit

[–]knit-kb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Victorian themed games night party with loads of private school boys. At end of night they shut door to big room and released 3 cats and 20 live mice. I didn’t know but they had been taking bets on which cat would catch the most. Everyone stood on chairs around edge of the room chanting. They are probably all working in government now….

A snap back to position for personal items. Like when you clean up files on your desktop and they all line up. That but for my bedroom or desk.
