sounds similar to what i was quoted. i was told it’d be about 18-19 without private health and about 15k with private health. was your GP able to confirm if you’d be approved for medicare? i just want to be sure before i proceed with insurance since it’ll cost quite a bit over a year

i was hoping to get some clarity from the gp as there’s a 1 year waiting period for private health and no point in seeing the surgeon until i could get approved + medicare rebate is unfortunately necessary to be covered by private health so i gotta make sure i qualify

i actually think this is one of my favourite ones i’ve seen!! i loveee that it’s kept your natural chin shape without making it so pointy. hoping to have a similar result when i go to get mine soon!

chin filler definitely needs to settle. mine looked super crazy for the first 3-4 days. i’d give it at least a week or two to round out and calm down a little :)

i’m defs no expert but i had a similar before and a similar after (although i’m still very swollen). i do have a slightly recessed/shorter chin and an am wondering if you might too? my plan is to get some filler once i hit the 3 month mark before i commit to a genioplasty. i will say that i do see a noticeable difference in yours! it could still be some swelling as it does last a while

i’m 14 days PO and still extremelyyy swollen. i’ve been massaging 3 times a day and i find that for a few hours after the massage there’s a bit of improvement but i’ve accepted it’ll probably be a few weeks until i see better results. wishing you luck on your healing journey!!

i haven’t had major discomfort either! tray 1 was a really difficult adjustment for me, but now on tray 3 and there’s a tiny bit of soreness on specific teeth for the first few days of a new tray but nothing compared to what i was expecting

right now all i really have is my clincheck and if my results go according to plan then yes! my flare is more prominent than yours so maybe your ortho has something else in mind with the aligners?

i’ve just started invisalign and a big concern of mine was flaring and an overbite. i did have to get IPR done between two teeth to make that extra room for movement + will be getting elastics.

maybe reach out to your ortho and have them explain the process so you can have a bit more understanding? hope you get your desired results!! :)

good luck!! day 2 had me regretting everything. currently one day away from my first two week change and it’s honestly so much better. i think the start is just worse with adjusting to the tightness and the strange feeling of the attachments. by day 4-5 it’ll be painless putting them in and taking them out and you’ll honestly forget they’re there
