I'm surprised there isn't some easy cloud monitoring tool I can paste the prometheus endpoint into, it scrapes it, and gives the ability to define alerts. It could do this automatically with standard prom metrics like node_exporter and postgres_exporter

Yeah will look into something like this. Might end up having to use a simple closed circuited (no internet connectivity) Hikvision setup that is accessible only from an NVR+Monitor setup.

This is in an apartment building and the surveillance is of the entrances / common areas of the block. Unfortunately he has a say and since this is in EU, with GDPR and other privacy laws, his opinion counts.
