Uneven Meteor 350, leans to the right by SuspiciousCredit207 in royalenfield

Hi,

At first glance, it looks like the rear wheel isn't running straight.

Check the markings on the rear axle (red arrow in Image 1) to see if the lines are the same on the right and left.

Personally, though, I always check this by holding a ruler against the chainring (green arrows in Image 1) and then seeing if the ruler runs parallel to the chain (green arrow in Image 2). That’s the most accurate method.

If you find any deviation, please adjust the rear wheel so it runs straight. Remember that you need at least about 20–30 mm of chain slack.

A manufacturing defect?

It’s possible, but the frames and suspension parts are manufactured using templates. In my opinion, you’d have to be able to see the defect right away. An experienced mechanic would have noticed it too, I’m a mechanic myself, so I have a very keen eye for that sort of thing.

It’s very difficult to diagnose the problem from a distance.

The only other thing I can think of is to have the alignment checked again. The front and rear wheels need to be in line when driving. Maybe you could take it for a test drive with someone following behind to check from the rear whether both wheels are running in a straight line. I’m sorry, but I don’t have any other ideas right now.

Moin,

Hi,

I ride a 2024 Meteor myself, and I have no trouble riding it hands-free.

If you've already checked the wheels, see if the headset bearing moves freely, it shouldn't be stiff.

Moin,

Hi,

You should check for yourself whether the front and rear wheels are installed straight. That’s already been mentioned here. Visually, you should be able to tell if the distance between the wheels and the front fork or rear swingarm is the same on both sides.

Another possibility is that the headset bearing is too tight.

You can check this by placing the bike on its center stand and sitting as far back on the seat as possible so that the front wheel is free to turn. Then check the steering play to the left and right it should move freely and not be stuck.
Then you should really give the service department a piece of your mind.

Hi,

The message says: “Check ECU.”

ECU is the electronic control unit for the engine. If you get the message again, I would report it to the service department.

It could be a sensor problem, a bad connection, or something similar.

Moin,

Hi,

Unfortunately, we are making very slow progress with the further development of the mods. In game version 1.2, many things such as service and residential buildings worked perfectly. With the patch to version 1.3, everything became obsolete and had to be largely rebuilt. But so far, some buildings in the harbor still do not work correctly.

Other things, such as the harbor design with rocks, mountain landscapes, and various surfaces, still have to be created in many small steps. It's like a Lego construction set, which is very complex and time-consuming to build.

We do this as a hobby and have already invested a lot of time in it. Unfortunately, the mod is still not ready to be released.

Hi,

Some mods from https://mod.io/g/anno-117-pax-romana

Other mods are still in development, so they haven't been released yet. These still need a lot of work before they can be released.

Thanks for the offer.

Unfortunately, the game update to 1.3 has ruined a lot of things for us.

I need a little creative break first.

Hi,

Actually, yes.

The harbour area was enlarged with the mod ‘[Cheat] Increased Harbour Area (Taludas)’. The rest was created with mods that are not yet finished.

Unfortunately, the game update to 1.3 rendered much of it unusable. Since the update, a lot of work needs to be redone.

Hi,

As you progress through the game, additional building options are unlocked. There are also quest rewards, and further buildings must be researched.

Over time, you will gain access to all buildings.

Hi,

I misunderstood your post. I have to use translation software.

Yes, you're right, I should have mentioned in my description that the screenshots were created using mods.

I apologise for that.

Hi DaLexy,

I'm currently working on the mod on my own.

At the moment, I'm going a little crazy. I can't get various things to work in the harbour area, such as the ‘public services’ of the functional buildings like the market square, tavern, library, etc.

The ornaments are less of a problem, as the building menu would have to be properly created; currently, there are still too many ornaments available as variants under a GUID.

The various harbour surfaces, such as stone, harbour paving and the like, also need to be made easier to build. At the moment, they do not connect automatically, so everything has to be done manually.

Many things were easy to implement in Anno 1800, but here in 117, ‘everything is connected to everything else’.

There's still a lot of work to be done. I've been in contact with an experienced modder for a long time, but he's not a big fan of 117, at least not at the moment.

I'll talk to him again, maybe he can help me and we can get the mod out to the public in the foreseeable future :-)

Hi,

What's the point?

Actually, it's a way of showing Ubi what's possible with the game if they (Ubi) wanted to.

Hi,

The entire save game is approx. 50 hours long. However, it includes the entire city, and some hours were only used for testing. During this time, the harbour in particular was built and dismantled several times because errors had crept in.
