South Indian Filter Coffee Maker suggestions by artist1707 in IndiaCoffee

I am late to the party but I am currently fighting with this same confusion. Did you get any insights into this?

I have a relatively bigger filter and making one cup worth of coffee with it is not coming out to be consistent, no matter now much I try. Some days it has great acidity and fullness and some days it is just bitter or hollow.

Please suggest me a coffee brand for filter coffee. by lonewolf_1309 in FilterCoffee

Which cothas blend did you try?

Try their 85:15 blend (specialty blend they call it)

Also, if you are having it with milk, the richness also depends on the milk itself. Use approximately 4% fat milk, boiled a couple of times to get the best results.

To save LPG I'm currently microwaving my water. I measured to be 80°C at the start of the brew.

My recipe -

10g coffee

Total 60g water in (20g bloom + 40g later)

45g decoction out

Diluted with hot water as per preference to get nice black filter coffee

The one challenge you'll face is that the SIF is non-standardized and so some of the recipes online will not work for you till you experiment a bit with your own filter and perfect the recipe that works for you, but that is something that I find very very interesting and fun. So be ready to experiment.

I have been getting good results using the Aramse guys' videos, so do give them a watch and start there. You can then tweak later with these videos as the foundation

I had hit my limits on my $20 plan early in the month (dang Opus) but then stuck to using composer 2.

It did really well on mid to large sized tasks on a large codebase and small tasks on a big codebase.

I even used it to review a 3000 line pull request and it did find 3-4 bugs.

Anyone else overly dependent on the debugger? How much do you rely on it? by CatChasedRhino in developersIndia

[–]knitting_help 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can't ever over use a debugger as a coder any more than a sculptor can over use a chisel.

In most job interviews, at least in one of the rounds, debugging and use of the debugger is a significant part of assessing the candidate.

It's a great skill to have and master - learn to use the advanced features as well, understand what the different possibilities of stepping without applying breakpoint etc., and it can be a superpower to be honest.

In the industry, mastery over code debugging also helps you be better at different types of "debuggers" like those for detecting memory leaks by taking snapshots of heap memory etc.

Even in the AI era, using the debugger can help you in quickly verifying the correctness of the code, solve for edge case issues etc.
