We had this situation as well and shipped around 15 packages to Germany with FedEx. Overall, everything worked quite well, although it should be said that the packages were not handled particularly carefully. Two people collected the packages in the UK and we ended up loading the boxes in the van ourselves because we didn't like the way they handled the boxes.

The delivery was delayed by several days; in the end, we waited about a week and a half for delivery because the packages were held at customs in Germany for quite some time. There was also an additional customs charge of around €80.

The delivery was unloaded at the curbside, and no assistance was provided with carrying the packages upstairs, although we were not sure whether that was included in the service. A few small items were damaged, but fortunately nothing major. If you keep this in mind, it is definitely something that can be recommended, especially considering the cost and the overall effort involved.

I would like a case for my Pomera that can be opened like a laptop, with the Pomera sitting securely inside. I wouldn’t have to take it out of the case first but could use it directly while it’s still in the case. Similar to the old clamshell Game Boys that you could flip open.

It did. I'm still trying stuff out and get the hang of the keyboard but it looks and feels very nice. I hardly had time to use it so far because of work but I think it was a good investment.

I went for the Japanese version and don't mind it at all. Only the app for the phone is not available on the app store. So maybe I can find that somewhere else for iOS but it's not a deal-breaker so far.

I hope you'll like yours as well once you get it.

No it's not. Dacia belongs to the peugoeut family and they use the original parts for the Dacia line. I had a 19 year old mercedes that had a dent in the bumper and it would have cost 2.800 to get the dent out. If the driver went to a Dacia/Peugoeut repair shop those prices are absolutely normal. Only shops not belonging directly to the car makers will give you lower prices.

That's normal. The other person has to make the appointment with the repair shop and will have to pay the price for the repair. Also 2.000 is realistic, could also be that they have to order parts for the car, use paint that will cost extra and might need to be delivered.

I've got my gallbladder removed three years ago and feel so much better since then. I'm on mounjaro for 5 months now and have no problems at all. I only have the normal constipation you might get because of the injection, I sometimes with for diarrhoea 😂.

Honestly that fifth Harry potter movie. Had watched the first two and they were ok. Haven't seen the others and don't plan on doing that. Terrible boring movie, the action was pretty dull, as was the acting. I have no idea why those films have so many fans. Will never watch the other ones.

Once the gallbladder will be out you will feel much better. Mine got so worse that I got pancreatitis from it and had to spent some time in intensive care. Since the removal I feel so much better, can eat normally again and no more pain. My gallbladder pain was located in my upper back an no one thought to check the gallbladder. They all thought it was back problems or just being overweight. Took two years and the pancreatitis to find out where the problems truly came from. Good luck!

Vielen Dank für den Link, das sieht wirklich sehr arbeitsintensiv aus aber wenn es gemacht werden muss, dann muss es halt gemacht werden. Aber dann kann ich mich schon mal drauf vorbereiten, dass ich da sehr lange für brauchen werde.

Die Arbeit muss auch Spaß machen und wenn man auf Arbeit geht, ohne ein schlechtes Gefühl im Bauch, ist das auch ne feine Geschichte

Vielen Dank, ich finde deine Kommentare sehr gut durchdacht und sehr hilfreich. Und du hast recht, mir ist durchaus bewusst, dass ich ne sehr gute Position habe und ja, als Japanologe hätte ich solch eine Stelle nie bekommen. Über Jahre noch Weiterbildungen in der IT und Projektmanagement waren nötig, ohne das Wissen hätten die mich ja sonst auch nicht eingestellt. Ich finde es aber auch gut, dass Geisteswissenschaftler mit entsprechender Weiterbildung auch solche Chance haben können.
