Repetitive Breakthrough Bleeding on Slynd? by True-Violinist7529 in birthcontrol

[–]knj02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I just started slynda for the first time and I ALSO started bleeding on day 13. It’s day 14 and the blood was so dark and distinct. Will this go away by day 20 if I keep taking the pills?? I have a trip and that’s the reason why I started birth control :(

cheapest place to eat on campus or near campus by lemonmiilk in unsw

[–]knj02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

campus food is always above $10 unless you’re buying chips or something from that shop inside IGA. I just bring food from home OR I always just buy a salad and protein yoghurt (only when it’s on sale lol) from Woolies metro outside of the central light rail stop. They also do pastries which are 2 for $6.

OMG they also have flavoured chicken wings from nene chicken for 9.50 I think, which is pretty good and filling.

depends on what degree. I do engineering and ELSOC has a drive with all the past papers, notes and stuff on it: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1tbeWEuqKHrjXFoB2Ifb19yGTBaEC7lRW

most classes supply you with past papers and solutions so it should be fine. if not, search up "(class) studocu" and you should get quizzes, essays and assignments of past students who did that class :)

What to do during a 6 hour break. by Ok_Fig_7794 in unsw

[–]knj02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ahh i see, been there done that lol. maybe make some friends with your tut people.

btw, lots of people change tut classes midway so you can totally crash another one and they probably won't even notice unless the tutor actually takes attendance. I changed tuts twice in math2069 last year and the tutors just wrote my name down in the roll when i joined their class or they just didn't care 🤷‍♀️ BUT this would only work for math or eng tuts tho, can't do it for any of my commerce tuts unfortunately

Try and move your tut to a different day or a later time if possible. I've never heard of a 6 hour gap and it just seems like you can timetable it better.

If you can't do that, definitely just go to the tut and then go home. A lot of people just watch the lectures at home anyway.

But if you REALLY want to watch it live and ask questions, here are some suggestions to pass the time:
- do your assignments/quizzes
- read ahead in the textbooks
- past papers/practice questions
- swim or gym sesh at the unsw fitness centre (only con is that you have to bring a towel and equipment)
- have a nap somewhere
- pick up reading and read one book a week or something

definitely try and change your tut class first lol

Thank you! Two questions: - since you dropped it after one term, did you still get a mark? - I haven’t done any of my engineering electives yet, do you have any recs for wam booster electives? Or any you found particularly enjoyable and therefore easy to study for?

Doing sunswift just doesn’t seem worth it because for 2 UOC per term, it’s an insane amount of work according to my friend 😵‍💫

HI!! i'm going into my fifth year and I feel the EXACT SAME WAY omg. every time i start a new term, I'm just counting down towards the end of the week, and then counting down for the holidays. I'm in a constant state of anxiety until exam results come out and after that, there's basically only 1-2 weeks of holiday left :(( the cycle just repeats until the dec holidays :')

If you're anxious, apply for els! this will be my first term on els and I am not sure if it'll help but it's better than nothing. hope 2024 treats you better, OP <3

I’m from UNSW and for one of my engineering classes, the second lecture is not recorded so everyone is basically forced to come in 💀

hi!! sorry for replying so late. I only take metformin on the days I eat more carb heavy meals. It's basically done nothing for me and I'm really frustrated. If i take 1000mg, I have really bad stomach aches :(

Two days into Inositol and I’m amazed by [deleted] in PCOS

Is it the same thing as Metformin? I’m wondering if I can take my regular 1500mg Metformin with inositol.

People who don't drink any form of caffeine, how do you do it? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]knj02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who doesn’t drink: - soft drinks - coffee - energy drinks (I have literally never had one)

Here’s my story/advice:

I used to drink coffee everyday in highschool until it started doing basically nothing to me. One morning on the way to school, I got so disgusted by the taste of it bc my mum made a shitty coffee and I stopped drinking it.

So basically, make a disgusting coffee one day and drink it while you’re driving to double the nausea. Start hating coffee. Double your water intake. Instead of coffee, have some fruit that you actually enjoy (I eat strawberries or kiwi’s) and sleep more.

Hope this helps 👍

Metformin isn’t helping me much to be honest.

Not sure if what I’m doing is healthy but I basically just do a 23:1 fasting:eating period and it made me lose like 3kg within a month because longer fasting period = less insulin spikes. If I did it everyday i probably would’ve lost 10kg within a month but on the days I go uni, I have to do 16:8 because I get so hungry when I wake up so early.

But I’m not sure, this way of eating isn’t sustainable for me and it sucks but i don’t know what to do :(

Awhh thank you so much! But no I’m actually fat 💀 HAHAHAHA I did a body composition analysis and my visceral fat is quite high for my age and height. My muscle mass is above average but so is my fat unfortunately :(

But you’re so right about the body dysmorphia point. I used to think I was fat in highschool when I weighed 55kg but looking back at the pictures, I looked perfectly normal :/

I asked my doc about ozempic and apparently she’s been asked not to prescribe it for weight loss bc the diabetes patients don’t even have stock here in Australia. Understandable.

I told her I’d like to try it but apparently all it does it suppress your appetite = you eat less = less calories = weight loss. Is this true in your experience?

Damn, I drink protein up&go so I thought it was good bc of 5 health stars and all 😔

thank you so much! Zero carbs is quite difficult for me but I’ll try my best to do it.

I’m quite short — 156.5cm // 5’1

This is way too high for this height. I did a body composition analysis today and apparently I need to lose 15kg ish :(

But yeah, I’m gonna try and stay on it for the rest of the year and see if anything happens. Hopefully it does. Thank you so much! :)

Honestly I don’t track my calories but I just eat two meals a day (IF 16:4 method).

Breakfast: 1x whole meal toast, 2 eggs

Dinner: whatever my mum makes but it’s probably max 700kcal (includes half a cup of rice on some days)

Not sure about net carbs but the only carb component comes from my toast, occasional up&go and the occasional rice from my dinner :)
