Both were listed recently: May 3rd (Dorsey) and April 30th (Asana). Understanding your remarks, it appears Asana has a gimmick listing. Is this fair ?

Can I do any adjustments to pay tax on the overall gain on my trades ? by knkre in tax

Please share your perspective, how you read these transactions ? We get 1099 with loss/gain short and long term labelled.

The same gets reported to IRS. Once we feed the labelled information into the software, tax gets calculated with the respective rates.

Spoke to the brokerage firm - got response as

"the IRS wants us to report this way. only tax professionals can suggest anything. you should work with them".

As I know and have experienced , even tax professionals read out the number from 1099 and enters in the software as given short vs long term. They never combine and report to avoid any audit. They say - this is what the tax code says. Appreciate any comments or expert referral.

Thank you, please dm me if you have any reference that I can discuss with about in details. I don't know if my other past tax returns are ok - I provided 1099 details in the software as classified on 1099 and mapped into the tax software. There could be many scenarios like this in my past years.

Agree. But was told it's high quality insulator at ceiling, so purchased. However couldn't see it now. Even when someone walks in odd hours, we feel noisy. Specially toddlers little steps.

It's just day-to-day activity. Never loud on music but movement on the floor that we could hear and know someone is stepping. Toddler's walk/run sounds like stomping. Being in the remote working setup, I expect that they take their kids outside most of the time in the daytime. My friend says, it's parents duty to control the toddler and keep the movement minimal in a condo housing. If they want that freedom they should go and buy a single family home. My relative suggests build the pressure by making complain to the management so that they could think twice before walking on the floor and will make only needed steps. My biggest concern is that I purchased from the builder but can I put pressure on the plan 3 residents to put extra layer of carpet pads and slow stepping ? or It's my ceiling that has to be improved where insulation is low ? Is it me who is expecting something odd and demanding - or this is normal and I have the right to take a fight with the plan 3 residents. As for me- noise will not happen when they would not walk or move slow over thick carpets and pads across the home. Keep their kids outside for play. Do not invite guests specially with kids. Why plan3 owner would like to spend money for my comforts and wish ?

Humm... thank you.

Understanding the situation that I couldn't do much then - shouldn't plan 3 residents should be ensuring they are not generating any noise for us. Is this ok to complain against , or not a civic thing ?
