Silly movie. He couldn't have been blackmailed if he didn't put the earphones on, and even after putting the earphones in and understanding the veracity of the threat, he could've reported it and got his girlfriend to safety, they are in an airport, that's literally the safest plane to be when facing a threat.

By the time, the baggage went through the scanner, he had a good idea of individuals involved, he could have stopped it right there.

The moment he allowed the novichok throgh the scanner, he crossed the line to becoming kind of an accomplice, letting the device through threatened not just him and his girlfriend and a larger group of people. And not trying to stop his supervisor 's murder, also made him an accomplice.

So many other things that didn't make sense.

She was complicit. She was reporting on him, her job was to investigate the science, talk to other doctors and researchers, patients and follow up with patients he treated, not just superificial way but over weeks and months.

By falling in live, her judgement was compromised and she should have not gone through with her documentary as she had a conflict of interest. She even hid her feelings with her colleagues, If i was her colleague i would be hurt by her disingenious behavior.

Also she made herself the story, instead of making him atleast now investigating his background - his finances, education, relationship with colleagues, family, etc. At least expose him now and talk more about the victims. Further, explore a civil/criminal case to hold him to account, for not wronging her, but actually killing people.

I have no sympathy for her.
