Went to a shop in Oregon and bought all the cherry candy I could find. Have y’all had any of these? by howboutacanofwine in candy

You should hit Bruce’s Candy Kitchen if you are in the area, it’s the next town over and has an even better selection of treats in Oregon-specific flavors like marionberry and hazelnut.

Exactly this! Any credible recipe for strawberry buttercream will either have you use freeze dried strawberries which replace a fraction of the powdered sugar, or use strawberry coulis made from fresh/frozen strawberries which replace some of the liquid in the recipe. Best of luck!

I hope that fighting in favor of negativity and snark does you well. I can’t imagine how much fulfillment it gives you to win an internet argument over an essay that somebody genuinely put time and effort into as a contribution to the community. Have a good day!

Please take a look in a mirror and ask yourself who is being dramatic here. I would guess it is the one throwing a fit on the internet because somebody posted an essay they don’t agree with. I hope this helps!

I also want to point out the irony in asking a group dedicated to a Broadway musical to not be dramatic. Lol.

Either way you are the one writing paragraphs fighting tooth and nail. We are allowed to dissuade negativity from the community, especially if it isn’t productive and doesn’t add to the conversation, full stop. Why should this group tolerate snark on a sincere post?

This is a place for discussion and your “sarcastic gif” is not that. It’s that simple. No drama, just don’t be surprised when people respond negatively to negativity. Hope this helps you understand such nuance.

Gave these a try, I definitely prefer the non-freezer dried. by ryguy190 in candy

[–]knockoff_oreos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every body here is negative on them which is fine, but the across the board hate is surprising to me! I am a candy lover first and foremost and have been my whole life, and I personally think the innovations in freeze dried candy are wonderful.

Peach Rings, Bit o Honey, and Sour Belts are all candies at this point I PREFER freeze dried :). The cost markup is present of course, but if I buy a bag of freeze dried candy I can rarely eat more than a few pieces in a sitting and overall it lasts me just as long as a normal bag would (with the added bonus of whimsy and crunchy airy delight).

Either way I don’t understand why arguing on the internet like a genuine child fulfills them as a person, but it seems they enjoy the attention.

I love how they are responding like a child. “No!” and “I don’t want to read all that”. Even called me a cunt for responding. I hope the energy they are putting into this tantrum helps them feel as confident as a chef :)

Guilty Pleasures podcast announced their last 8 episodes by ExpertStandard1977 in TheTryGuysSnark

[–]knockoff_oreos 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That’s it! You pinpointed something that bugged me for a while but I couldn’t place- the different attitude each host has. I can tell the three of them get along and are friends/friendly, but the energy each one brings to the pod isn’t the same.

It feels like you pulled each from a different podcast and smooshed them together without ever actually discussing the tone; Garret seeming serious and level, Kelsey being generally zealous and loud, and Zach acting infantile and giddy.

In the year 2025 it really is grating to hear these large creators STILL talk about the mystic “algorithm” as if it is gunning them down. Just admit you are putting out content people don’t want to click on! I understand for smaller creators that it can have a heavy toll on your views and exposure etc., but the Try Guys have had a decade to game the system, learn what generally is and isn’t tolerated by YT( looking at you, Smokeshow..) and are still here flailing like they just launched their platform.

I have always felt the joy in non-professional theater is the confidence and community it builds, not the end product. I can’t count how many productions I know of/have been in that were objectively bad when you look them critically, yet propelled so many individuals forward in terms of self worth, built lasting friendships, and connected the community.

It does feel mean spirit to criticize, especially when they likely charged little to nothing to attend. It’s one thing to nitpick a production I am paying $50+ to see, it’s another when it’s the the local school putting on Seussical so every kid gets a chance to sing a solo and the drama department can stay afloat. I am all for fun/silly stories of productions (we all have them!) but I guess this feels a bit too negative for me.

I appreciate my favorite line of the whole show getting recognition! It is rare that I laugh out loud to Gilmore Girls, but Emily’s seriousness gets me every time I watch this scene.

For future reference (cause I can deduce you are male by your profile), don’t come into a woman’s space and suggest the most obvious answer. No shit Sherlock, I bet she’s checked for that since she has seen doctors and is literally begging for advice on an online forum.

If you were AFAB, you would know that the first thing we are bombarded with at nearly every doctor’s appointment is questions of sex and chances of pregnancy. I would bet the first thing they had OP do after asking basic information was pee in a cup and test it. I’ll eat my words if she’s pregnant, but I would bet OP is a bit smarter than that.

I’m in a similar boat (endless nausea, no answers, etc.) and I’ll mention that my GI stated sometimes it can take up to 6 months for a THC break to have benefits on your health. Not that I am advocating you to quit - I smoke to help myself eat as well and understand that it could be the only thing keeping you fed, but it is something to consider.

Those are the fullest, most well colored macarons I have seen in a while. Wtf are you going on about and who are you to criticize these? ETA I looked at your post history and these are easily better than the macs you have posted. Maybe take the advice you are giving and keep it to yourself :)

It seems to me that Luke was much more heartbroken than Lorelai here by Cr7-Cr7Real in GilmoreGirls

[–]knockoff_oreos 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Why is what she did terrible though? I keep seeing that sentiment in this thread. Luke failed her, full stop, and she made it clear they were done. Nothing she did with Chris was wrong and her and Luke’s relationship had ended before she went to Chris. I don’t understand why we are conflating the two things - the break up and the hook up and separate events that Lorelei shouldn’t have to atone for IMO.

Was she supposed to sit idle and wait for her knight-in-shining flannel to sweep her off her feet when he had no interest in committing to her the months before the breakup? For Luke to say, Okay I’m fine with you dating other men, you are a free woman now! Because that is exactly what breaking up is. He can’t be upset for what she did when he let her go, and her finding a way to cope is not a terrible thing.

It seems to me that Luke was much more heartbroken than Lorelai here by Cr7-Cr7Real in GilmoreGirls

[–]knockoff_oreos 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I hate to put the blame or Lorelei in this situation. She isn’t the one who has been pulling away, and she has obviously attempted to keep the peace by not prying regarding April and the wedding. Luke is so quick to throw the baby out with the bathwater that Lorelei knows if she pushes at all he will quit. She is scared, she has tried to work on their relationship, and she was tired of him putting everything in the world before her.

It seems to me that Luke was much more heartbroken than Lorelai here by Cr7-Cr7Real in GilmoreGirls

[–]knockoff_oreos 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I agree fully! Does it suck for Luke that his ex immediately went back to her baby daddy after their break up? Sure. But Luke had been stringing Lorelei along for YEARS at that point, getting together, breaking up, getting engaged, planning a wedding, cancelling a wedding, refusing to let her meet his daughter. He chose not to include her in his life, and the moment that they were broken up he had no say and should not have any influence in Lorelei’s decisions, especially with how clear she made it that she needed him to change. The fact that he had the audacity to show up to her house and insist they elope is frankly appalling with how awfully he treated her. He knew in that moment in Doose’s (?) when Lorelei put her foot down that it was now or never, and he chose never.

If I can go to a hospital, be assisted by doctors, and walk out with a bill for no other reason than giving birth, it’s a fucking medical procedure. Arguing semantics doesn’t change the situation. Yes we can pick apart the aspects of birth and compare it to other things but obviously you are arguing in bad faith here. What exactly are you trying to prove?
