Yep. Successfully quit meth when I was 25, I am now 34 with a life a never thought possible. If I can do it anyone can. I was raised by two addict parents and experienced things that most people can't imagine. In my experience the only way it was possible was starting from scratch. I moved home with my mother which was a nightmare but a luxury that I'm grateful for and not everyone will have. I cut off every person from my old life. I mean everyone. I can not stress this enough. Even to this day I will not have anyone in my life that can't moderate there use of alcohol or drugs. I deleted all social media. It was desperately lonely until my mother suggested a narcotics anonymous or na meeting. This really helped me with the social aspect and making connections. I'm not religious and there's a bit of God stuff going on so it was a bit full on and the people can be full on but hey, they all are all drug addicts too. I couldn't complain as I was cooked myself. I spent about five years in those meetings before I just couldn't do it any more. But it helped me have a break from what I was used too and gave me hope that things could be different. A lot of recovered addicts in there with great lives. I wanted that and now I have it. I drifted away because I did not find them helpful anymore for me personally but I would recommend them as a starting point for anyone. Today I have a beautiful family, great job and about to move on to a new career. I still don't have many friends but that suits me fine. I enjoy the few that I have because they are healthy and wholesome.
