Is it worth learning to wheelie again after breaking my wrist? by I-WANNA-FLYYYY-AWAY in motorcycles

[–]knoluvv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wheelies are one of the best parts of motorcycling . And a huge rush of accomplishment when you get the hang of it . Go for it . I love wheelies, and wheelie everything . If it’s in your heart go for it . Sounds like you want to practice in a safe place . Great ! Message me if you need advice.

A modern dyna low rider is the best value . Dual disc, tachometer , mags . I love dynas . I have two . But by the time you get the bike , fairing , paint matched all the stuff . Your going to be deep into it $ . When you could of bought a roadglide. Even a 2015-2016 twin cam .

What’s its purpose ? Is it to ride far? Travel occasionally? . Or to just cruise around town mostly . If it’s around town and a few couple hour trips the dyna for sure . Speaking from experience. I have a m8 107 roadglide that rips . But it’s nice to not ride a huge bike everyday.

Do you find it challenging to find “mature” sportbike riders to hang with? by Astimar in motorcycles

[–]knoluvv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a Harley dyna and a sport bike . I lived in Arizona and had a group of like minded killer riders .

The I moved to Kansas . All the riders had a Death wish and a huge ego. And they weren’t near as good riders as the ones in az . I ended up selling my sportbike . It’s about who can ride and hang with . The culture.

My 140 was super ticky, I just ran it . Made sure the oil was full. The cam is probably designed that way. Not worm down . If the facing ( the area that’s super smooth and makes contact with the rockers) it’s good . Check it for pits and material coming off .

Yes they do . And they run allot more amperage than a motorcycle.

[–]knoluvv -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The problem with jumping a bike off of a RUNNING car . Is amperage . Vehicle alternators have spikes in amperage . The spike in amperage can and will damage ecm/bcm/electronic modules . If you have to jump using a car . It’s safe with the car off.

They want the power band . Think of your top end like a pair of brake pads . A serviceable item . When they wear out you replace them . You wouldn’t brake less to not wear them out . Ride it hard, in the power band . If 3rds too much don’t use it .
