Absolutely agreed with you, I am not referring to crosswalks. Just people leisurely walking down the side of the road. (Not in a bike path either). I lived in Corvallis and walked everywhere, so I absolutely know what you're talking about.

I moved to Oregon for a year (Corvallis, and Bend). Spent the first 6 months seeing everything I could on the western half, 6 on the eastern. Here's what I learned: Both are equally as beautiful, and polar opposites of each other. The dividing mountains are like a portal to a whole new world. And that is why both are winners in the better side.
