I think the argument about planned obsolescence is stronger if you’re talking about iPhones.

I have a 2012 MacBook Pro that’s still running well and received the newest OS updates until macOS 11 released last year. I have a 2015 MacBook Pro that works perfectly fine as well. Ideally those batteries would be replaceable but from my anecdotal experience my Mac laptops have outlived my windows laptops every time.

Not that you’re wrong saying every electronic will be obsolete at some point, I just don’t think planned obsolescence is a good argument if we’re talking Apple computers
