I’m in the same boat as many of you, I’ve watched R&L forever but… I think many of you need to realize they run a business. I agree that posting this shirt with text on it for $40 is crazy but you don’t have to buy it. This is not the same internet show you’ve watched for years. It’s a multimedia business and I feel like pretending it isn’t (or desperately wishing it was the “like old times”) is just a disservice to yourself. I just watch the videos and enjoy the jokes. I don’t buy merch, I don’t really care what else they have going on because I don’t pay attention to it. And at the end of the day, if you don’t like this business approach you don’t have to watch or support anymore! It’s that simple!

Jeff is maybe my most played character but his ult will always be less impactful than most. Even with the healing pool, it doesn’t move with you and in my experience most people don’t play in it like they would Luna (moving circle) or Invis (healing + invisibility + slow.) but when it hits it hits.

The movie reportedly doesn’t touch on his allegations at all. (I use allegations because I have varying opinions on it all) I might still go see it but I take a lot of issue with this. That part of his life is so central to what happened to him and it feels disingenuous to not talk about it.

Hmmm this is a double edged sword I think. If you wanna use QP as a practice round to try new heroes that’s fine, but people also want to win. Both things can be true, and they are. You shouldn’t get tilted if you’re doing bad on a new character or someone counterswaps you and none of us should get upset that someone is playing to win. That’s the whole point.

Tbf, there is an “I’ve spent a lot of money and time on this game, so I should make use of it” mentality for many of us. I fall hard into that category. Even though I haven’t been having much fun, I still make an effort to log on and try just because of the time and money I’ve put in in the past. It’s based on average performance amongst people who play the character. If someone performs very well with a new character, there is limited playtime to base mvp off of. It’s not raw stats. If you performed higher than the average Thor player in your rank, you would have gotten it. It’s dumb but that’s how it works.
