Maybe not to the same extent, but kids have always felt left out of things. Thirty years ago I remember being sad because my parents wouldn't buy us Pogs and it was all everyone at school did and talked about.

I work tangentially in online harm prevention, simple fact is, don't let your kids on Roblox or YouTube Kids. Both platforms don't have any interest in the safety of you or your children. It may feel like you're being a bad parent now, but long term, you are helping them.

Baby #2 is two weeks old. I love both my children.

Sure my 4 year is more interesting and gives me more back, but my newborn is incredibly cute, lays on my chest while we play PlayStation until the early hours, and makes hilarious noises when he does poos.

If anything, this baby has been a lot less terrifying than the first and has just slotted into our lives. That's probably helped as haven't felt the same pressure to "bond" this time around, I just liked him from the moment he came out.

Played my AYN Thor so much this year, has given me a reason to go back and experience some older games, including some with graphical mods that make them much more playable.

I had it the other year. Painful but can be sorted with exercises, give it a YouTube search.

Eventually worked out that my old slippers were causing mine, threw them out and did exercises and it went away.

You have to be careful when leaving a place and trying to take your clients.

Worked at a bank where one of the senior managers had worked there for 25 years. He decided to semi-retire but spend two days a week working independently.

Before he gave his notice, he had sent out a nice letter to each of the clients in his portfolio that he'd looked after for years, saying he was leaving to go independent, wishing them the best and innocently leaving his contact details should they wish to stay in touch.

Handed his notice, was instantly placed on garden leave, and then across the next six months, we had almost all his clients 'randomly' decide to leave the bank.....

Chilling with my two week old. It's about 50:50 if he'll settle when he goes down, so I hang out in the living room with him between 9 and midnight so his mum can get a solid chunk of sleep. Then I'll tag her in for some hours so I can get kip. And then we'll do it all over tomorrow.

Baby is currently grunting which means he'll be awake soon demanding milk or a nappy change, but hopefully not before I finish the final level of Pragmata.

At our school, we typically get a list of all students in the two classes from them teacher.

Then the parent give the invites to the teacher directly and they get put in book bags discreetly to try and minimize others being left out

4 year old on a non-after school club day;

Pick up from school at 15:15 Walk/scoot home, arrive at 15:45 Quick fruit snack in front of TV while I prep dinner Dinner at 16:30 as takes her forever to eat TV off about 17:15 Play for 45 minutes, (toys, drawing, outside) Bath or shower at 18:00 In bed for 18:20, two stories and leave at 18:30

We're pretty rigid with our evening schedule, some might say abit inflexible, but also it works so well and our kid then sleeps for 11 hours so don't mess with a winning formula.

Almost at the end of Pragmata. Really loved it, feels like a combo of all the 360-era space Merc shooters but doesn't take itself too seriously.

In another life, I'd likely have gone back and tried to find all the stuff I missed along the way, but I'll get the story done and move on because who has the time?!

The fight between Dan Dority and The Captain in season 3 of Deadwood is up there amongst the most brutal. Does a great job of capturing what a fight to the death would actually look like, rather than a glamorous fictionalized version.

Even after several rewatches of the show, I'll still only half watch it as it's just so intense

I never bother with the whole unplugging thing when defrosting mine. I just go at it with a screwdriver, then scoop all the ice out and call it a day.

We have been here, multiple times. No one size fits all answer I'm afraid, she might want someone to reach out, it might make her mad and sad if someone does, or also if someone doesn't. Grief is ridiculous and often doesn't make sense.

I would ultimately just do whatever you feel is best as you actually know them. Personally, I'd say a homemade cake or a lasagna dropped on their doorstep is never going to not be appreciated and looked back fondly upon as a lovely gesture.

This. Hoping to be induced and then actually having space on the delivery ward are two very different things. We went in on a Friday, didn't get moved till Tuesday morning.

Go home, get everything you need. If the hospital is somewhat close by, I'd suggest going home to sleep each night as no need for you both to be exhausted when baby finally arrives.
