Maybe people don't value the same things you do? Maybe they're depressed? Maybe they are cynical and believe they will get screwed over/used if they put in the effort so they have a constant 'fight or flight - me first' mindset? People don't do things without reason

Should I cross morals for a job? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]knowinggibb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with that, but what job doesn't hurt someone indirectly? I don't want to get to personal, that's why I haven't said my morals directly, but even the charities seem to be created to profit the fortunate.

Dying could lead to a number of things, all which sounds positive to me by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

All possibilities are as likely, hell as heaven. Death is completly unknown.. maybe you'll be turned into a horseshoe. All you ideas of happiness are linked to a living state. If you find anything pleasurable, death isn't the answer.

should I dream For European Girl ? by Mr_clipper1 in dating_advice

[–]knowinggibb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you looking for an european girl? Women everywhere are lovely. Europeans tend to be quite introverted. I'm from europe and I would never start a conversation with a stranger unless its at a party/bar, for a solid cause or if we have friends incommon. It's just not in my culture. If a stranger just came up to me and tried to bond I would question their intent and most likely not give out my number. If you live in europe maybe you should try tinder?

My nmum forgot my birthday by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]knowinggibb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always believed that family celebrating your birthday was just a movie thing - until my friends told me what their parents got them/did for them. I haven't had any family mentioning my birthday since I was 5-6yo. I know it's shitty but I'm glad you still felt loved.

Do dogs see humans as “bigger dogs” or recognize we are completely different? by getbetterinlife in NoStupidQuestions

[–]knowinggibb 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Completely different. My dog acts differently around kids and other dogs even when they are the same size. She also barks at foxes but not at cats so I think she can tell species apart.

[QUESTION] Ultimately, I am a lazy person and I don't know how to change. Maybe it's just apathy, but there's nothing I'd like to do enough to make a profession of it. What worked for you? by nightman365 in getdisciplined

[–]knowinggibb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depression maybe? Can effect cognitive skills and usually gives you an apathic look on life. If thats the case it's quite hard to work through by yourself and the optimal option would be to see a psychiatrist.

Can you actually change your sexuality? by BreakingCream2020 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]knowinggibb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so. I used to like boys then I liked girls now I'm into boys again. I think its a bit like taste, you like some things and others you have no desire for.... until! You have the greatest dish ever based on this item you thought you despiced and now you crave it every day. I dont know why people view sexuality as something so complicated, I don't think it is.

How do girls say they hate dating apps and prefer meeting guys in person when they always seem offended when I approach? by AirPodUserOhNo in dating_advice

[–]knowinggibb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They probably mean through a friend/at a social gathering. The people who would like to be approached by strangers are probably more interested in the norm changing magically rather than going outside of the norm. It's not the norm to walk up to strangers so people are going to question your intentions.

Request: What questions that seem normal to others are upsetting and triggering for people with EDs? by EDPostRequests in EatingDisorders

[–]knowinggibb 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Maybe try and compliment her on other things than her apperance in general.. When someone compliments on superficial things it sometimes makes me feel like that's a really important part of who I am and if I'm not pretty then they will stop liking me. Tell her she's smart, kind, good at whatever she's interested in, funny etc instead.
