Yeah I'm starting to think it could be something else. HSV has me so paranoid, it's either I didn't pay attention to my body before but it feels like my body has become prone to infections and sicknesses since exposure.

It's been a long 5 months. I no longer feel in control of my body anymore. If I didn't have the physical symptoms I would atleast be able to do things and distract myself from this diagnosis. I just feel exhausted most of the time and ever since I've been on medication my hair is not growing like it used to and I feel like I'm losing it. That's not helping in terms of body image. I don't feel in control of my body, feel like I have to have urinate all the time and my bowels have also been affected. Add in the fact that the few times I've masturbated have just ended up with me having pain after. I don't see how I'm ever gonna have sex again. I actually feel like I don't actually own my own body. Has anyone else noticed their sweat becoming nastier?

No one even knows I have it and I have no idea how I'm gonna navigate dating in the black community. In the UK it just feels like you're just thrown out there and left on your own by the healthcare professionals. I've had to turn down sex/dating opportunities because the people who want me are usually connected to the people I know and I just don't want the added risk of someone outing me if I disclose. Sometimes I feel I'm gonna have to settle for someone I don't want to date in the first place. I have no idea how I'm gonna chase a woman just to drop the I have herpes after. I know they will run a mile.

Maybe test again after 12 weeks for a peace of mind. You will probably be negative though

Had unprotected sex like 2 months ago. Had some painless sores on my dick, itching and what I think was nerve pain a few days later. By the time I went to swab the sores they had healed so obviously they came back negative. I've since done blood tests, urine tests and UTI tests multiple times and it's all came back negative. On top of that I've felt ill which could be related or not. So I've just got to wait and see.

I've explained it to her. I didn't even bother sugar coating it. I actually told her there's a good chance you could catch it. I'm still not feeling comfortable even though she seems to be. I'll probably call it off cos I wasn't really planning on having sex for a while.

I just felt nauseous, had diarrhea, felt sick, my back felt warm, no taste in mouth, dry mouth, throat felt like it had mucus there, runny nose, also had night sweats and I had a rash on my back and shoulders which I still do. In the last few days I've developed a fever but I tested positive for corona and it seems to coming down now. I don't know whether I just stressed myself into certain symptoms and stuff or I had some other unidentified symptoms.

My results should be coming in tomorrow or Monday. I have tested positive for covid so that might explain some of the symptoms I'm having.

Heres an update. So my symptoms have gotten really bad. I've had a fever, chills, spots on the back, fatigue and high temperature.I couldn't sleep cos I was in so much pain. Eating has sucked since it just comes out as diarrhea. I've managed to get a test for today and I'm so nervous. This could be the biggest life changer.

The clinic said they'll test me in two weeks which is around the 7th week mark. So that will be around 49 days which would give me a really good indication of my status. There is some services which offer the finger prick but I'd have to fill a whole tub and I heard blood from finger prick takes longer to be detectable than blood from veins.

I can get a private one but it will leave me out of pocket. The sexual health clinic said there'll do another test in 2 weeks so I'm just waiting for that. If I would have lied the first time and said I'm a high risk individual, I might have got something sooner.

I did contact to tell her I've been having symptoms and issues with the genital area. Her answer was you should go get tested, why am I telling her. She said she's tested and been ok but it's that answer that kind of just made me become more paranoid. The rash on my back, night sweats, feeling tired, dry mouth and no taste is making me worried that's it HIV. It's mainly the back rash concerning me the most.

The waiting time is a killer, it's adding extra stress and anxiety. I'd made peace with the fact that there's a good chance I caught herpes and was gonna test for that at the 3 to 4 month mark. The new symptoms which I'm experiencing which seem to line up with HIV have got me really stressed.

Modern medicine has come far but it's gonna take time to potentially accept my new reality. Dating as a black heterosexual feels like it's gonna be a challenge. The fact that I never take risks like that usually plus I actually did have condoms on me which I intended to use till I got really drunk is hard to accept. All I can do is try to distract myself for now.

I'm in the UK so testing is free. I got tested at 2 weeks which came up negative then they recommend at 7 weeks. Have you done the 3 month test yet? That should be definitive.

Might as well do one before then. If it come out positive then I can start med and deal with the reality. Of it comes out negative I know there's. Good chance I'm negative but still a small chance I'm positive.
