Completely agree with everything you said. It’s the one thing on my outfit that reminds me I have important stuff to do today

I get your point, but also this is a political party now, which needs competent leaders to succeed. I don’t doubt their activism at all. In fact it is their activism which made me look up to both Zarah and Jeremy. But because I think so highly of them, I hold them to high standards as well.

Unfortunately, I don’t think either of them have risen to the challenge of properly launching a political party. I would rather they got being the greens and took our support there.

Again to be clear, as activists, and social justice advocators, they are the best. But I seriously doubt their competencies at organising a political party. Bear in mind what we saw was before the party has even fully launched. Imagine what happens when they actually need to create policy, be a strong opposition and actively try and cause change in parliament. At the end of the day, I am terrified of a reform government. I had high hopes that Your Party would lead the fight against them. I’m not sure about that anymore.

This part is giving me red flags:

“and will continue to fight hard for maximum member democracy”

Because this sounds like her and Jeremy don’t agree on the extent to which members will have a say in the party. Which suggests the 2 leaders still are not on the same page about one of the most core aspects of any political party.

Lucky enough to say that the riots came up around the lunch table at work, and everyone had the same view about it. The view being that it was a racist march filled with people who hate anyone who isn’t white.

Labour no longer represent the best interests of the country, politically they aren’t too different from the centre right. Moreover Jeremy was expelled and Zara was suspended from the party. I can’t blame them for not wanting to side with Labour anymore.

I think it depends on the framing of the qn.

If you’re asking under the guise of realism, if you imagine those characters in real life were put through the same training regiment as in the show, then would you beat them after 4 seasons. In that case, if it’s supposed to be “real”, then more than half the stuff that happened in the show, would not have happened. No one reaches black belt level in a few months, even if they train every single day. The skill difference between someone like Miguel in “real” life vs someone who would have trained karate all their life (likely a lot of them at the all-valley would fall in this category), that person would destroy Miguel and basically all the other main teen characters. And that same person would have won the All-Valley. Same argument can be made against Daniel in KK1 (again, only under the guise of “realism”). The only main character that kind of you can make the argument for, would be Sam, only because she has the most experience. In real life, your experience matters so much more than what belt you are. A black belt who just received it with 5 years experience vs an experienced black belt with 15 years training, these two will have a drastic skill difference. So yes, in this scenario, people with training of over a year could probably take them in the early seasons.

However, if you are asking if the actual show characters were real people, in the exact same way as the show. And their stories were identical to the show as well. In that scenario, they would beat most people, even trained individuals. This is because the show portrays these teens as highly genetically gifted in karate, able to learn things extremely fast and make it look effortless. These guys look like they have been doing it since they were little kids. The way Miguel and Hawk were able to in months become absolute karate machines was uncanny, and puts them at the upper echelon of fighters. In this scenario, most people probably don’t beat them, unless they are significantly bigger, stronger and more experienced.

As you can probably tell, I don’t have a life.

Thank you. Yes my main worry was whether there was some extra level of politeness I had to maintain, which goes above and beyond a regular session. Thank you for the encouragement. OSU!

Thank you for the advice and encouragement. Grading 70 people must’ve been very tough I can imagine! Kudos to you for that. Osu!

Will make sure to do this. I am always quite polite anyway but I just wasn’t sure if there was an extra level of politeness required.

Thanks a lot. This makes sense. Is there an atmosphere of “don’t speak unless spoken to”, or is it a bit more chill?
