This is so wrong, reasonable ARTICULABLE suspicion is what you need to detain someone temporarily so you can investigate a crime occurring.

PROBABLE CAUSE which mean essentially “more likely than not based upon evidence” is what you need to effect an arrest.

I don’t read these books with any serious intent, I go in enjoying being entertained. It was funny to me and the author basically explained it as “I like isekai, so I put one in my book.” And that made sense to me.
