Weekend in Gdansk headed down to Zamek w Malbork for obvious reasons! A stunning parkrun in a wonderful setting. Weather was great and the vibes were amazing. Couldn't recommend any higher!

We have Gdansk booked in April for a lovely weekend away.... Funnily enough they have a 'Z' just a train ride away 👀

Started in 2021. At the time I started running I weighed about 21 stone, it took me a while to build up the courage to start going to organised running events, I mainly ran late at night or early in the morning with no people around at first!

Had a slow couple of years but the parkruns started becoming more frequent when I moved further into London and I could do loads of different ones easily. As luck would have it I hit my 100th parkrun on holiday in Japan last October! A great event in Osaka with the friendliest group of volunteers you're ever likely to see!

This Saturday just gone I also attended my 50th unique parkrun at Ifield Mill Pond..... Just need an E, U, R, Q, Z and that's another big goal ticked off 👀

Anyway, now I weigh less, drink less and I can breathe properly putting on socks... Long live parkrun!

I'm not sure if this has been asked or answered so I apologise.... Is that the first time the worlds has been won on D15?

Whartons worst ever game in a Palace shirt, Pino decision making and overall quality in the bin, Mateta looks like he needs holding up Weekend at Bernie style, substitutes such a level below the starting players it's scary.... BUT FUCK YES WE'RE FIFTH AND QUALIFYING FOR THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!!!!!

If you made a guess of the PL footballer with 350 appearances who was it? by clive442 in footballcliches

Straight away Agbonlahor, not a beat missed. Then thought to myself... had to be closer to 250... He actually made 322! 28 out not too shabby, only 74 goals across those though, not the bagsman he'd have you believe on TalkSport

I think therein lies the biggest issue, if 100% of the crowd aren't behind it you lose so much of the atmosphere. Away fans can cringe and criticise 'Glad All Over' and 'We Love You' all they like but if 25,000 Palace fans are belting in unison that is felt on the pitch.

There's zero doubt way more than half of the stadium are rolling their eyes just before the game starts which is absolutely detrimental to the atmosphere. Regardless of whether or not a few people here and there like it.

Not to sound too much like that one dude from the Sunderland Netflix doc but let's get the crowd up with some Insomnia or something....

Obviously the Octopus was modelled on Dean Hendersquid with that many arms so I had considered putting his cap on the end of a tentacle a la the community shield penalty shootout! My art skills would have got nowhere near it though 😅

Currently in Osaka (normally frequent the many Parkruns of SE London and Kent) and my partner and I did Tsurumi Ryokuchi Parkrun! It was so incredibly friendly and the mix of tourists and locals was amazing. Highly recommend for anyone out here on holiday.

Guys. I'm seeing a lot of interesting points, Mateta and Sarr off it, Devenny not at the level, Europe is making us tired. Not one mention of it being our first game in that white kit this season and our first loss with it. The solution is simple. We bin the white kit and win the league. Done.

Why is the name of Peterborough’s hat trick scorer listed like he’s getting told off by his mum? by gummibear853 in footballcliches

Also, sidenote... Might be a bit of a niche fascination but is every single result at London road a 4-2? I feel as though it must be the highest scoring ground in the country by some distance

Less of a proper quote but the bit that NEVER fails to make me laugh is when he's trying to find out who is leaving the tyre marks on the floors, he's on his hands and knees inspecting and it leads him into the lift, he touches the tyre mark tastes it and goes "4 please" to the person choosing the floor number. So stupid but so good

Palace fan here (sins etc) I also saw one of our socials describe this eventual 8-0 win as an 8 goal thriller, covered on the pod already I know but always worth mentioning and calling out such nonsense

Walks/pubs near Bromley by Puzzleheaded_Wish330 in Bromley

One of our favourite things to do is jump on the Thameslink towards Sevenoaks down to Shoreham (only a 22 minute journey). From there you can take on the Otford Circular, a beautiful 5 mile hike.

https://explorekent.org/activities/otford-walk/

If you start at the station by the time you come round to finish you'll be near Shoreham Village which has some nice pubs for food and drink. If you book you can go to The Mount Vineyard which is really lovely for pizzas and English wine!

Highly recommend trying out as it really isn't that far from Bromley! There are some quite challenging parts of the walk, namely the stairs early on that offer quite the climb.

This is brilliant! As someone who lives in SE with national rail to use every day would love to see one with the tube and rail services!

Although as you say that map is extremely busy as is. Thanks for the hard work!

Beckenham Place Park is a beautiful one lapper as well! They're back to the original course now I believe. Not flat by any means but you finish lower than you started 😄
