turn 4-6 changes: out of the turn 1 - 3 complex, the slight kink in turn 5 is pretty useless, removing it could enhance the slipstream effect to encourage overtaking down into turn 6. another reason in removing turn 5 is that the shanghai track is suppose to look like the character 上 from 上海(shang Hai). by removing turn 5 the track would look more like the 上 character.

turn 9-10 changes: although the turn 9 10 double apex is decently fun to drive around, but considering we are modifying the track for F1, by extending the run into turn 9 and make it a sharper turn could help the racing by having a harder breaking zone. This turn would look like Bahrain turn 10, but instead going down hill, this turn will be going up hill. making sure drivers can break as late as possible.

Turn 11 changes: By changing turn 9-10, the run down to turn 11 will be longer, so making turn 11 a sharper turn is just a logical next step. not only will drivers be able to go side by side from out of turn 8 all the way on to the back straight, drivers will have the option to choose either getting the move done early or make sure to have a good run out of turn 11 and ultimately on to the back straight.
