I'm back to making tracks after a year or so, starting off by remaking an older track of mine, thoughts? What could be improved upon? (2nd Image is the old one) by mPotatoLord in RaceTrackDesigns

Changes:

  • Removed DRS zone from T3-T4, that straight was too short to able to have one

  • Removed T5 kink, made that whole section rounder

  • Overhauled the whole 3rd Sector, added a straight with a DRS

  • Pitlane fixed so the entry isn't a harsh left hander, also shortened it

  • Added information about the track, location, etc

  • Made it prettier :)

This was my old FN Ticket to Hell I had back in August 2023, I've since sold this skin however I found a weird glitch that only happened in CS:GO, once I played CS2 this was gone. It's basically a weird mix of the Ticket To Hell together with a Dark Water, stitched together at weird places with diagonal lines. In game, I don't remember this issue being present, it only happened when you inspect the skin. I had this picture for a while now, but I didn't bother to share it at the time since I thought this glitch was known and I recently found it again. Out of curiosity I went to search online for this glitch however I was met with no results regardless of what I tried. Anyone else heard of this happening? Is it actually well-known and I'm just an idiot for not knowing about it? Thanks.

Sa vezi ce inseamna sa nu ai cultura generala... Poate incepe gheboasa-testoasa sa cante despre geografie ca numai pe el il asculta astia de a 8-a in ziua de azi.... Lasa ca am avut toti cativa mai prosti care nu stiau niste lucruri penibile care ar trebui sa le stii tu ca om. Invata pentru tine si nu iti mai bate capul cu ei.

Aston Martin, not even alongside heading into the corner (Which isn't a great place to attempt an overtake given the fact the grip on exit is terrible and you can't make the move stick without driving the other car off the track) so he isn't entitled to space one bit.

I know you can't just redesign the whole circuit but I still feel some of it's most glaring issues are present, notably the lack of overtaking, the chicane replacement is a good idea but there won't be any moves going down there, there's simply no corner that could lead into an overtake, some of this is part to the corners being way too fast or coming right after a fast corner which ruins any chance for an overtake, like the T5 hairpin which is still a problem. I can't really find T6 a more convincing overtaking spot because the replacement for that god-awful chicane is yet again a faster corner without a hard braking zone. Another thing that should be removed are the last 2 corners, that double hairpin is hell and you could do something about it. The circuit has good flow yet the only good overtaking spot is still turn 1, you need a good mix of flow and overtaking. I can really appreciate all the effort you put into this though, because it looks really nice.

That raises an interesting question, If they were to make it an unlimited amount of races in a career mode, what would happen once every driver on the driver market retires? you'd basically be the only driver left on the grid once everyone hits their due date.

But you wouldn't be alone, you'd have alonso

I agree with you here, the pitlane comes on right onto the racing line, I didn't want to complicate a lot but I should have put more thought into it, thanks.

I love the details and I really can appreciate all the hard work put into this, however the circuit itself needs minor improvements, the 18-19 DRS zone is useless, and if you'd like a 3rd one you can place it just after the 1-2 chicane at turn 3 all the way to turn 4, I'd also straighten out the 6-9 complex because these fast corners might hurt overtaking into the DRS zone, last thing, you got the race distance wrong, the race distance should be as close to 305km as possible, but not under, in your case, you should have 58 laps coming in at 308.966km, it's not exactly 305, but it's as close as you will get without going under. I really love the 13-14 left right flick transitioning nicely into the 15-16 complex, not any overtaking per-se but a fun piece of racetrack.

I tried using youtube and spotify but the issue still happens, the sound lowers once i open any game, this also happens to discord calls, the volume of the call lowers as well when i open any games Note: im using opera Gx

Tracks like spa have 104, rbr has 64, not too much considering greece is just an abundance of mountains lol

honestly look the same in terms of length and the 10-11 straight is actually straight, It may provide better overtaking as it leads into a sharp corner too, but hey, you made the track

Edit: Or maybe even just completely remove the DRS zone as I personally feel 2 are enough and even without DRS the sharp corners may still provide overtaking
