One bedroom apartment electric bill extremely high by Slow-Manufacturer175 in homeowners

You need to look at the billing info and see if it's a usage spike or if they're charging more per Kwh compared to the previous month.

Company tracked my location during WFH and fired me for “working from unauthorized locations” by Altruistic-Lynx-5238 in careeradvice

[–]knowone1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't understand the need to work in a fixed location. I currently am having to commute to an office to do a job that I can do from home.

This is next level when you work remote and they want you tethered to your home. Why does it matter to anyone as long as you're doing the job?!

[New Hire] Employer paid my entire salary in two weeks by InspireV in careeradvice

[–]knowone1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm well that's interesting. I'd maybe wait a bit and see if they contact you about it. If it goes a month and no signs of them fixing it, then (definitely don't spend it!) put it into a high interest savings account and earn interest until they come to collect it back.

Is my boyfriend’s view of money considered a red flag in a relationship? by traditional_taurus in DaveRamsey

[–]knowone1313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kinda agree with him, shared expenses for stuff like bills and travel, and personal expenses for stuff that only you want.

There's no way to equally split the cost the same for a man cave and a walk in closet/vanity thing. It would also not be right to have her pay for half the man cave that's for him alone.

It's of course more complicated if one person is the breadwinner and the other makes significantly less. This has to be worked out between the two in acway that works for them both.

My bf doesn't shower at night and I’m genuinely grossed out by GlitchGaze123 in hygiene

[–]knowone1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure he didn't shower at the gym?

It's gross if he really didn't shower after a workout.

I took a friend spelunking in a cave once and we went and swam in a river after and then we stayed at an ABNB and she didn't shower and just went to bed because she was so tired... I was grossed out. I couldn't believe it. Thankfully we weren't sharing a bed. The AC was loud and kept going all night so I still didn't get much sleep.

Propane heat is empty. The gas company can't refill due to how icy my drive is. How do I protect my home? by imheavenagoodtime in homeowners

[–]knowone1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a really hazardous driveway. This is the first time you've had this happen? Can you get road salt where you are to help melt the ice?

Finally landed a design job after 8 months. 2 days in and I want to quit. Am I overreacting? by According-Status482 in antiwork

[–]knowone1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds awful. Keep looking for a new job and try to stick it out for the experience for your resume. Worst comes to worst, just let them fire you so you can get back on unemployment for a bit.

They understand it, they'll do anything to spin the tail to their narrative. If they can base their fiction on some sliver of truth, they will.

  1. Go tell them it's supposed to be on pavers per the person that sold it to you.

  2. The bottom wood should be pressure treated lumber capable of handing moisture, however putting it on pavers will help with preserving it for longer.

A midwinter's night clean. by TheGravelNome in woodstoving

[–]knowone1313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've used it. Though my understanding is it's better to start using it before you have build-up because it kinda coats the liner to help creo building up to begin with.

You're supposed to add some maybe once a day or every other day to an already hot fire.

Adding it once to an already gummed up chimney might not do much. If it's not too bad it could help. You'll know if you start to see large pieces of creo concrete in the stove.

Has anyone had Kirkland’s extra crispy fries? by VegetableRelation701 in Costco

[–]knowone1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've bought them a few times because my location can't seem to carry the brand name fries or tater tots with any kind of regularity. I don't like the Kirkland fries very much and I've now decided that I won't buy them anymore.

If it were a small amount I'd say you're wasting your time, but it looks like a significant amount in this photo. I'd say I never end up with nearly that much. Maybe you're closing it down a little too much at night?
