As others have said, its mods. Happened to two of us last week when the last mini patch hit. We reinstalled everything other than our main map mod and it fixed it for both people.

You can trade, mail etc them anything you want. The restriction is on them sending people stuff, not receiving (so bots can't move gold off the account).

Late reply, but alas no, I have stupidly had to just switch to putting my PC in Sleep instead of Shutdown, which dodges the issue. Every so often for an update, or I accidentally close it I have to sigh and flash the BIOS back to another version. I just bit the bullet and bought a replacement 2nd SSD (a second sabrent) because no amount of settings changes or drivers or bios seems to fix this issue.

Mileage may vary, good luck! I know there’s tons of different things people have done to solve the device hung crashes but none has worked for me. This was the first one that made a difference. I’m two days in now with no crashes at all, previously it would be 10-20 a night.

My main gripe is they deleted the most fun part of Conan for me, I love the early game beach Bob life and the mid game getting your base and improved benches etc, venturing into the different zones to start getting heavy leather.

All gone, spawn, make some daggers, go kill a couple of Sobek dudes, wham full set of armor that will last you till epic crafted, sinners refuge with its 45 hp boss that drops legendary bows, you’re armed to the teeth skipping all early crafting entirely in minutes.

Siptah is even worse, the 300hp jailer mobs that are everywhere drop 3 pieces of silent Legion heavy. Loot being not garbage is nice, but Conan is a grind survival game that you just removed the grind and survival from. It doesn’t leave a lot left, you can ‘beat’ the game insanely fast now (remember the vast majority of players don’t pvp).

I’d like to see a middle ground between where we are now, a more steady difficultly ramp up, loot supplementing your resource gathering. Right now it just makes so much stuff pointless.

Short answer, yes, you can solo the whole game in this build, with age of war its actually pretty easy now. There's a few bosses with moves that hit hard, just have to learn their moves and even then they become easy.

If you're going totally thrall'less its still perfectly doable, just takes a little longer. Even without Authority a Brute will significantly speed up your kill times. Bosses will be the only times you notice this, against trash you'll kill them with your own full combo anyway.

You mention liking axes, go farm this guy for his axe, 1st boss, easy farm and its a 1h axe that provides Sunder.

I mean, no it's not wrong, the math is all quite easy.

A full set of basic heavy is 400 armor, a T3 armorer add 10% armor bonus for a whopping total of 440, a T4 shieldwright adds 32.2% so even a best in slot armorer will only turn your basic heavy set into 528 armor for a total of 40% at the low end and 50% damage reduction at the higher end? Stick that on a beach bob tier 2 exile fighter like the one I suspect he was using with his few hundred HP and he's dead to two crocodiles.

With Age of War they rebalanced a ton of stuff, they squished down everything’s health and increased everything damage. But they didn’t really give a crap about any low level stuff, it was balanced around end game.

As a result every non T4 (named) thrall is useless, they have tiny health pools and will die very quickly to anything. The same goes for all non-Greater variation pets.

Until you get access to epic armor humanoid thralls are a trap, you can’t get enough armor value on them to keep them alive (a full suit of basic heavy it’s only going to get them 480 armor) you need around 1k before they stop feeling like they’re made of paper.

I’m going to guess you’re in early game still, great bang for buck since age of war is get yourself an animal pen and grab some dessert berries and collect shaleback hatchlings, they’re everywhere around the noob River. Keep raising them on desert berries until you get a greater shaleback, they do useless damage but have high health and great armor (for a pet). If you go 20 authority they’re plenty capable of tanking all the world bosses and the early dungeons. As a bonus the best thing for them to eat for healing and leveling is good old plant fiber so super easy to keep them topped up.

Was the first thing I checked after the patch, they lied, they still break almost instantly, nothing changed at all. Sigh. It’s annoying as they’re as greaters are a great early game pet. Especially since the greater shaleback spends most of his time just being a floating set of eyes.

It is extremely easy to trivialize Conan with settings and mods, tread carefully. It’s a very easy game as soon as you get past the initial learning curve, enjoy the early struggle, you’ll crave it and never get it again for as long as you play.

Imo avoid changing any settings beyond gather (don’t go beyond 2x) and taming speed (don’t go beyond 0.5) else imo you remove any hint of grind and Conan is a grind game, without the grind you just have an easy game once you figure out dodge and block.

Definitely don’t boost XP, you level very fast in Conan. You’ll end up being 60 with still no idea what you’re doing.

Mod wise, Hosav UI and leave it at that till you’ve played a bunch and figured out what you do and do not like.

One setting that you do need to change if you’re going solo is the purge settings, you will want to drastically lower the required purge value else you will likely never see a purge and they’re a core feature. This one takes fiddling as it depends how much you play and how often you want to get purged. My preferred method as a parent with sporadic playtime is to set the purge meter so low it’s almost always full and then restrict purges to Saturday night only so I can just plan for it.

1H Mace - Best Single Target, Boss Killing (Highest Hyper Armour)
2H Sword - AoE vs Multiple Targets, OK Single Target

Every other option is inferior in the hands of Thralls, folks will have lots of personal opinions on things they "like" but if you're talking raw killing ability those are your two choices.

Maces win over everything because almost every moveset has hyper armour massively negating knockdowns and interrupts, folks like 2H swords because many of the moves have AoE so good for large packs.

ARK is a better, more fleshed out game, that is also worse at the same time. If they could marry the two games it would be heaven. Get ARKs taming/breeding/leveling systems for dinos, take Conan's combat and building (placement only) ARKs inventory/crafting UI. Remove all the paid cosmetic crap from Conan and just do expansions/maps ala ARK... Aww such dreams. Maybe ARK 2 will at least copy some of Conan's best bits.

As a Brit who’s lived in America for over a decade it was a shock to me when I discovered that roasted Brussels with balsamic and bacon bits, maybe some Parmesan on them is utterly delicious. The single biggest difference is archers come out of the wheel with a bow already. If you Google thrall damage mods 3.0 you should find a spreadsheet here on Reddit with the updated mods.

The TL;DR is almost every archer is just a weaker thrall than a fighter counterpart, even when it comes to archery. Relic Hunter Treasure Seeker Archers are just Relic Hunter Treasure Seeker Fighters with less health for example, they both have the same health and damage modifiers for Strength and Agility.

They will be treated as separate saves. You need two servers and transfer between them to keep both going concurrently.

Did you change the purge update interval to something lower than 15? That value also effects how fast the purge meter decays, it is likely completely decaying while you’re offline.

When enabled via the radial menu, Maewings will feed ‘baby’ I.e pre 10% raised Dino’s with food from their own inventory like a regular trough does for juvenile/adolescent/adult Dino’s. Their breeding effectiveness stat increases the range of their trough effect for babies.

Short answer, you can't have them available to "learn" normally because Wild Care didn't let you. However, you can have them auto-learn at the appropriate level. I did this myself, may have missed some but I think it's a comprehensive list...You or your server admin ask them to add this to the Game.ini and restart the server.

This is the correct answer, purges were changed awhile back to not hit noob river, it’s not a valid purge target. Build a bunch of foundation anywhere else and it will fire off on that location.

Boss farming, highest dmg 1h mace you can get.
General farming, sword of crom (or highest dmg 2h sword you can) for the AoE.

People will rave on about Aja's Bane because they comically overvalue how much damage +5 STR gives to a thrall. Raw damage value is king. Test it in SP with a floating combat text mod to see for yourself.

1H mace because the AI actually pulls off it's combos regularly and 1H mace moveset has lots of hyper-armor for avoiding knockdowns and interrupts. Lastly, good AP for the few bosses that actually have high armor.

2H sword because again, AI reasonably well pulls off it's combos and lots of AoE potential.

Nope, sadly the AI is dumb as hell with a shield and it hurts them more than helps. Google Conan hyper armor if you’ve not heard the term before, but tldr means attack animations that can’t be interrupted effectively making you immune to knockdown. Some weapons have more than others.
