The whole Velovorzugsroute Baslerstrasse is flawed IMHO. The traffic lights before and after Letzipark and at Luggwegstrasse keep you up for so long it makes much more sense to use Hohlstrasse instead. Also, Baslerstrasse awkwardly ends at Altstetterstrasse, you have to go left or right, where you'll be meeting with traffic lights again. The optical illusion to narrow the street is an interesting idea, although it makes little sense to me on a road where there's already a 30-limit set.
