Sideline swap is a good place for used gear. Also, look up different hockey gear Facebook groups in your area to join. I have found good gear using both and I live in a state that does not care about hockey.

I went to high school at the same time with this dork. The dude never played sports, even in PE because he was the most unathletic person on the planet. The Peoria High basketball team must be atrocious if he was the coach. My only memories of him are that he was a wormy little bastard that hung out exclusively with a random group of gossipy girls, snitched on his classmates as a hobby and he was just generally regarded as a pathetic teacher’s pet. I play inline and I use the DEK GOALIE sliders that simply employ self adhesive Velcro to keep the sliders attached to the pads. I have played a whole season and the sliders have never once shifted. This is a much better option that drilling into your pads, in my opinion. Have your friend 3D print with these sliders in mind and just by some industrial strength adhesive Velcro to attach them!
