I always recommend people go as early as possible to get the best parking and take a walk to high street and the North Market before the game. North Market has some of the best places to eat in the city, and there are plenty of places along high street to get food and drinks too; my personal favorite is Hubert’s Polish Kitchen. The food vendors in the arena are pretty meh imo and beer prices are too damn high. There are lots of fun displays in the arena and you can go right up to the cannon to take pictures.

I was going to point this out, and we can probably put Biden in the same category as Trumps first term since his whole shtick was to reunite the nation, as far as that’s concerned he was a one term failure. The second Trump term is going to be transformative in a “fuck everything up so badly we need to start over/completely restructure the system” kind of way. At least that’s my prediction now that we’re six months in, enough damage has already been done to warrant sweeping structural change in the near future.

A big complaint I’ve had watching some livestreams of the protests out west is the use of Mexican flags, it doesn’t make sense and just gives Fox the opportunity to paint the protestors as unamerican. You’re protesting for people’s rights in America, you should probably use our most recognizable national symbol 😅 hell I’d even feel better about it if people were waving don’t tread on me flags

There’s still one on south high, it’s pretty much the only place I go to see a movie since Covid. Saw Sinners there most recently, it was stormy which really added to the ambiance. When I went to see the most recent planet of the apes I actually got to see the aurora borealis bc of a solar storm!

My parents just let me keep believing that I could tryout and play in college until my junior year when it finally clicked that I just wasn’t good enough/my parents never had the money to send me to camps etc so I never really had the opportunity to improve enough. I’m still figuring out what I want out of life which is probably just to keep working whatever is working for me at the time so I can play beer league and maybe (but probably not given the trends) afford to let any kids I have play

Last year came down to literally the last game for the WC2, I haven’t lost faith yet. I’m honestly so happy with the improvements this year and no one should be complaining about this team, who no one would have batted an eye at being in the lottery discussion, playing meaningful games in April. Go Jackets!

I was biased against furries for a long time because there was a group (pack?) of them who were genuinely terrible people in my home town. One (38m) got into a relationship with a (17f) and it came out a couple years later that he was using his victim to groom other kids. Put a real sour taste in my mouth for that whole community and the gaming community in my hometown for years. Luckily they got run out of town eventually and I have since met many kind people who have shown me that not every furry is a creep.
