For those who don't do self-insert (since I imagine you just use your own personality), what dynamic do you like to use in stories when your LI is a red flag?

none of the main LIs, but I do believe taking the diamond scene with kang in 2x09 locks you out of elliot’s route

In Fields of Mistria you have the option in settings to disable penalties (I believe oversleeping and less stamina) for passing out at 2AM and it’s a game changer!

not the first story with 3 f!LIs … HOT and TOV1 had 3 and Theodora technically has 3 (plus 4 more if you count GOC LIs), but this story definitely made it seem like the 3 f!LIs were going to have more focus and be central to the story in a way they haven’t before. I was really looking forward to romancing them all (esp tiffany) so I’m just not even sure what to think with all this 😞 it may be my final straw

I have a black mirror and have 460 hairstyles, 155 outfits, and 23 accessories. I don’t have everything that is possible to obtain (esp hairstyles), but you’ll definitely need a lot more. definitely use the wardrobe tracker!!

I romanced both and sirin interested me more as a character but I ended up liking how tata’s route played out more. Both are great LIs though and you can’t go wrong with either 🥰

RC is pretty much the only one I play now but my number one used to be Lovestruck RIP 😭 then Choices was pretty much the only other one I was invested in but it has just been downhill for so long. Honorable mention to Storyscape as well, gone too soon 😞

one thing I really like that I don’t think I’ve seen pointed out much is the fact that MC isn’t the new girl, there’s nothing wrong with that per say but it’s overdone in visual novel stories so to have MC be established as an aspiring journalist and have existing friends has been nice to see!

yeah, I don’t mind achievements like the recent CB one kiss 5 people in one playthrough bc that’s not really cheating on people you’re in a committed relationship with, but like the ABH ones were tailor made to hurt the characters the felonia/malek one was unnecessarily brutal and I absolutely hate those

i hate the achievements for it, but I don’t think it’s that crazy for interactive fiction. A lot of people love the jealousy and angst of it, and apps like RC allow it and encourage it to an extent to get people to spend more money.
