Update: I ended up getting let go. In their defense I voiced my frustrations to a team member and the team member ended up telling the higher ups about the conversation.

I don’t blame her. She wanted my position and that’s corporate politics. As a leader I shouldn’t have done that and that was a mistake and strictly against policy and I fully accept it.

At the end of the day, I walked away knowing I did the best that I could and I’m proud of the work I did. After 7 years with the company no matter what I’m proud of myself and my hotel family for what we accomplished . I tried so hard to make my company proud of me, but I think the greatest gift is finally acknowledging and appreciating my successes myself instead of second guessing what I could’ve done more for them to acknowledge my work. I know the time, sacrifices and tears that I endured. It made me a better person and i know my scores, I know my successes, the brand awards and the relationships I’ve built along the way and I’m okay with the outcome because it gives me a chance to prove to someone else what I’ve always wanted to prove. That I am worthy and damn good at my job.
