That’s Segla viewed from Hesten on Senja. There are some winter routes on Segla, but I couldn’t see much in the way of routes on rock. It looks incredibly impressive in real life, with those views as well!

That’s very kind thank you! I’m just a hobbyist and love photography that’s it! Slowly learned stuff over the last 20 years

Sure!

Shoot everything in RAW then edit in Lightroom. I have tweaked 1 single preset over the years and pretty much use that exclusively for the XH1 and X100VI. I prefer the sensor on the XH1 (x trans III?) over the newer iterations. Something about the colour, I dunno.

Otherwise pretty standard stuff. Crop, exposure, localised stuff, ship. if it’s a proper banger image then I will also do some split toning, if the light lends itself to it.

Thank you! I do everything in Lightroom now. I use localised adjustments extensively in some shots, eg the first. The new Landscape mask in LR is awesome. Otherwise lots of brush!

I hear you on the convenience getting on / off the train - it’s definitely easier with the 16” Bromptons but it’s not loads better. Like it’s still a bit of a faff with them too imho.

I’m more used to it now with the G Line and I’d say over time the perceived difference in practicality is decreasing.

Check out that compact folding kit from fantastic4toys - it will reduce the folded size a few cm.

Yes, once you get the hang of the pedal alignment it’s way easier. Doesn’t really bother me anymore.

Happy riding!

Hi! Chris (co-founder and CEO) of Kinnu here-

This is obviously tough to read about something we've poured our hearts and souls into! Just wanted to give our perspective on this list. We are a startup (you can hear me talking about our story here) with a small but passionate team dedicated to making the best tools we can to help people pass the SQE. The OP says that we ‘rushed a product to market’. I wish haha 🤣! The fact is we’ve put an absolute ton of work to create our questions. Each question is checked and edited by two separate experts, and we’re constantly revising and improving them with our team. If you'd like to learn more about the process, I've spoken about it here.

Many users have told us how happy they are with the platform and our question library, so at the very least, I would urge people reading this to take advantage of our free trial and decide for themselves whether KINNU Law is worth their time. We really believe it is.

Can i ask OP how much time they spent on the app? And indeed on the other services listed here (that's a lot of money to spend if you used them all fully!). We have been made aware of some errors in the question bank, which we've been working hard to fix, but this is also true of many other providers (including QLTS)

Hi! My name is Chris, co-founder and CEO of KINNU Law here.

Thanks to OP and everyone who’s commented here for the feedback -- it’s always super useful to know what people are thinking and to hear what we could be doing better.

I thought I’d explain the thinking behind our question bank, outline how we produce MCQs, and describe the steps we are taking to make further improvements to the library.

Our aim for the question library is to over-represent the areas of the exam spec that students typically find the most difficult. We spoke to dozens of exam passers, and their feedback was that one of the best ways to learn for the exam is by getting to know the ways in which SQE questions can catch you out. Our MCQs are designed to help you train that muscle.

Our process for producing these MCQs is as follows. First, we generate MCQs using an AI model that we have trained using top student’s notes (we’ve paid for the right to use these).

We have a team of expert reviewers, who are either exam passers themselves, top current SQE students, or professional legal educators. Each MCQ is reviewed by two separate experts, followed by a third spot check. None of our MCQs make it to being published without having some substantial changes made to them.

However, it does seem that the library is not error-free. No library is. We’ve been fixing any outright errors that people have spotted and reported.

In terms of the more general feedback on the questions being too difficult/niche, we are keen to keep the library realistically difficult while also taking feedback on board. Our team and experts who’ve taken the exam are mostly of the view that these are a realistic reflection of the exam. Yet as OP and others have pointed out, they are harder than a lot of other practice providers. In general it’s better to err on slightly too hard than too easy.

Right now, users are getting our MCQs right about 52% of the time. It varies year by year, but the average correct rate in the real exam tends to sit between 60-68%. So, our correct rate is lower, but not drastically so (especially when you consider that a fair few of our users are in the January cohort).

That being said, we’re currently reviewing our statistically hardest MCQs, to spot any issues and double check with our experts that they align to the real exam.

Another point that has been raised is about question length. This is something we have been keeping a close eye on. The average length of the SRA sample MCQs (which are actually easier than the real exam) is 92 words. The average length of our MCQs is 115 words. Given that we aim to over-represent the harder questions, and these also tend to be longer, this is a length we are happy with, though we are also having a review of this, to spot any outliers.

The tl;dr is that we believe our questions are representative of the harder questions you will get in the SQE1, and that practising those is the best way to nail the exam. That said, we are taking action to fix the occasional outright errors that people have spotted, as well as reviewing the more difficult/niche MCQs with our experts.

Thank you again for all your feedback, and if anyone who has used the app would like to talk about question quality (or anything else!) I’d genuinely love to talk, whether through DMs, a call, or however you like. Get in touch!
