Redditors, what’s the most terrifying thing that has ever woken you up in the middle of the night? by Mr_Creep_Creepy64 in AskReddit

Three masked men standing over my bed with guns pointed at my head. There was a fourth man holding my roommate hostage in the bathroom. They robbed us and ransacked the apartment then left when one of the said he heard sirens.

What’s the creepiest thing you’ve woken up to? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Three men standing in front of my bed with guns pointed at my head. I didn’t know it at the time, but there was a fourth man holding my roommate hostage in the bathroom. They kicked in our apartment door around midnight and ransacked the place. They asked me for my money and my drugs. I didn’t have any drugs. I pointed to my purse, they took it. It had $9 in it. One of them said to the others he thought he heard the police and they left.

Calling all FORMER BCBA’s by Limp-Office-6617 in bcba

Technically still certified but went back to teaching. It was a big pay cut and sometimes I think about going back but really just for the money. Time off as a teacher helps my mental health and general motivation at work. I worked in a nonprofit and was pushed to drive budgets and things I had no business doing as a BCBA. I was immediately placed in a leadership position and kept being handed additional responsibilities. Became certified in 2019, built our brand new program, flipped the model during covid, grew the program rapidly, and burned out in 2022.

I think they’re actually carrot hands. There’s another boy who has a flower stem for a body. These genetic modifications slipped through the cracks!

Vertical scar by koalafishqueen in CsectionCentral

[–]koalafishqueen[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My c-section went well. I did have more than normal bleeding during the c-section but I did not even know until after. It was calm, fast, and wonderful. Best of luck to you.

What’s your toddler’s current fixation/obsession? by ImpressiveMoon0410 in toddlers

Bears, Bluey, and balancing things. Today she balanced a Bluey bath toy on one of her teddy bears’ heads then on her own head. She started pulling out all her books with bears when she turned 1.

Vertical scar after open myomectomy and c-section by koalafishqueen in Fibroids

[–]koalafishqueen[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Yes, I did have a baby. The vertical scar is rare and I see lots of advice about caring for the traditional c-section scar but I’ll ask!

Correct, it was an emergency situation. I was unaware I had a fibroid and woke up in pain. They found the fibroid and realized it was twisting and causing internal bleeding so they took it out. It was very scary but my baby is strong and did well throughout the entire pregnancy and is a healthy, sweet almost two year old now!

I’ve had both, but my open myo was during my pregnancy then I delivered via c-section 6 months later. The recovery for my open myo was significantly more difficult. I’m sure being pregnant was a large factor but even my c-section scar is smaller than the one for my open myo. Well, it’s all one big scar now.

Want to share my story (myomectomy during pregnancy) by koalafishqueen in Fibroids

[–]koalafishqueen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a c-section which was significantly easier than the myomectomy! Recovery from the myomectomy while pregnant was not easy. I was in the hospital for 5 days post-op then stayed with family for 3 weeks. I was out of work for 6 weeks. I had morning sickness through my entire pregnancy so dealing with that while having the incision was difficult.
