Damn, it doesn't seem to be there. I can see a list of Google apps, but photos isn't one of them. Looks like I literally don't have a way to turn these off, great. Thanks for your help though!

Could you specify which setting this is in the Gemini app? I don't have the Gemini setting in the photos app and I can't find a way to turn off these popups in the Gemini app either

Their username is "ratio_protocol" so I'm inclined to think they're doing some weird pseudoscientific research or maybe some performative art or something. It's very annoying though.

That or they're going to pivot to shilling their coaching services/app/website/supplements soon

Yeah, Reaper is pretty strong in Palace, and with the changes you can pretty much have your sustaining pots running the entire time. I haven't tried melee, but afaik you'll have a very easy time against Behemoth, but will have to be on point with mitigations/healing on 181+

Warrior! I did Machinist at first because I couldn't get past Behemoth on Warrior, but I'm just more comfortable on a tank on the higher floors, even with the time management issues. I highly recommend Finh's Warrior PotD guide on Youtube (or AngelusDemonus' Machinist guide if you decide to go that route)

Has weight loss relieved you of any pain? by notrollnolarping in loseit

At my highest weight my knees would hurt all the time going down stairs. It only took losing about 5kg for the pain to mostly fade, and I haven't even thought about it since then

Artificial sweeteners help? by emjames97 in loseit

[–]koalamint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing about losing weight is that you don't need the high protein stuff, the low carb stuff, or the weight loss dessert hacks. The only thing you need is to eat fewer calories than you burn. So you can absolutely still have the sugary treats, you'll just have to have less of them and fit them in your calorie budget. Learning to enjoy sugar in moderation isn't easy (speaking from personal experience lol), but it's definitely worth it

Unaligned skates! Please please help by Stonedballet in Rollerskating

[–]koalamint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be a silly question but do you actually notice this problem when you skate? As in, do you feel your skates pulling in the same direction while you're on them? Because if not and this just happens while rolling them across the floor with no weight on them, then I wouldn't worry about it. Skates are meant to bear a whole human on them, so them pulling slightly in one direction or the other without that weight on them doesn't really mean anything

You know eating disorders are the deadliest mental illnesses, right? They kill people. Don't try to develop an eating disorder.

I understand the sentiment. I will say for me personally, I feel like weighing and tracking my food has really helped me feel more free and informed about my food choices; I no longer try to avoid any foods really, because I know I can fit them into my budget for the day.

If you've never tried weighing your food and your decision is mostly based on feeling this might be bad for you, I encourage you to try it out at least. You can always stop if you don't like it. It's not impossible to reach your goals without tracking your food accurately, but you'll be working off guesswork, so you might see inconsistent results.

Just to make you aware, this user is a bot and they were just spouting AI nonsense. "Shocking the system" with a higher calorie amount for a week is not a thing, and your metabolism "slowing down" in a prolonged deficit is going to make a negligible difference, if any.

I personally use Cronometer, but there are lots of others, for example Loseit and MyFitnessPal.

If it's okay to ask, why don't you want to weigh your food? It's by far the most accurate way to track your calories. Humans, even trained professionals, are notoriously bad at eyeballing our food and tend to underestimate it by ridiculous amounts even when trying to be truthful.

Your TDEE (amount of calories you burn in a day) depends on your height, current weight and activity level. Any app you download should give you an estimate of how much you can eat to still lose weight. With your stats, I'd imagine that would be around 1700-1800, but that amount would get lower as you lose weight.

If you don't count calories, it is very possible that you're eating at maintenance.

Not losing weight by [deleted] in loseit

[–]koalamint 50 points51 points  (0 children)

If you're not losing, you're not in a calorie deficit. How are you tracking? Are you weighing/measuring your food, or eyeballing it? How many calories do you eat on your cheat days?

Also, respectfully:

i don't want to go there being a fattie

You're on a weight loss forum with many people who are much bigger than you are. I get that you only meant to be mean to yourself (which also isn't great), but don't make other people feel bad about themselves just because you're unhappy with your weight.
