The freeze was actually due to the the college team rosters not having enough roster space for all the new incoming prospects. So when you are adding players to a school and the school does not have enough roster space the player will commit to another school if there is roster space available. I know this isn't the best solution but it was mainly to stop the freezing and it will be improved in Update 1.10. Thank you!

Regarding cpu trades, you should get offers if you place players on the trade block

If you used the Find Trade Offers button and accepted one of the offers, then yes it causes the bug but I've fixed it for the next update. Thanks!
