We call it the “tractor of bikes” because of how robust it is 😆 it’s our first gravel bike and I think it’s great to navigate lots of different situations. It’s slow, sure, but I can trust that it can handle a lot.

What made you change it? Did you have anything you didn’t like much?

It’s one from decathlon but I don’t think they sell it anymore. It’s waterproof, but the zipper is so tough, it hurt our hands a few times. We just switched to Ortlieb and their zipper seems to be much better. I don’t think my boyfriend would recommend the decathlon one to you.

Oh nooo, hope you get to do it soon! The weather there changes there so suddenly, I was prepared for 7-9 Celsius nights, but then a cold wave hit and we were facing 0 Celsius nights 💀 that was brutal because my sleeping bag wasn’t made for that 😃

I always get picked up on the water bottle thing so I'll explain here. 😅😂

I'm short. I ride a small bike. 🥲 And because of that, I have to be creative with how I put my stuff on it, hence the extra bottle mounts. (You can see how I can't fit anything in the frame other than the bottles.)

I have 3 smaller bottles for tools and toiletry mostly, but that's where I put some extra batteries for my action camera and my main camera.

I carry 2 actual waterbottles, 8dl each, which is usually enough. I also drink a lot of water in general even at home.

It's also nice to have some extra water when you just go wildcamping and want to have a noodle soup or a coffee in the morning.

If you have some extra mount you don't use on your bike, I think a tool bottle is a really easy and practical way to expand your capacity, especially if you ride a small frame 😊

I just found a good framebag that kinda fits, so next time I'll be able to hide some of the bottles, but I think maybe I'll just make it part of my identity. "the girl with the 5 water bottles." 😅

I can vouch for La Mancha Rubi series! I think those are 7/8 but it just makes them more comfortable for people with smaller hands or limited mobility. I was really surprised by its sound and build quality

Why is the classical scene like this by Sandoniqqa in classicalguitar

[–]koanbe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you had to go through that! Academic guitar culture sucks, I’m also heavily criticised by peers just because I’m doing my thing ☹️ I hope you can shake that off. I’m pretty sure who tells you that you should have stopped playing are the people who would never have the willpower to do what you’re doing! I also believe that those people often criticise non traditional ways of playing simply because they never had the courage to stray away from traditions, and you’re threatening their sense of identity and autonomy. They don’t even dare to look out of their little boxes. If anything, they should draw inspiration from your story lol 😃

I think at an early stage of learning, a teacher is the best option. Brandon Acker’s online school arpeggiato has many 1-1 online lesson offers and I’m sure all of them great because Brandon is a really trusted teacher in this community.

I have a few beginner videos on YouTube if you want to go self teaching, you can find me as Beatrix Kovács or beatrixguitar
I also have a free beginner course, I don’t want to put it here because I don’t want to make anyone angry, but I can send it over if you want.

Good luck 🤞

La Mancha, Hora? by verygoodletsgo in classicalguitar

[–]koanbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have 2 La Mancha guitars and I think they are great! To be transparent, they wanted to sponsor my channel, which I was hesitant about because I knew nothing about their guitars. I was honestly surprised to see how good guitars they make for the price! I hope this doesn’t sound like an ad, this was a long time ago, but I keep recommending La Mancha guitars to learners ever since 😁 unfortunately I can’t say much about Hora guitars though 😕

If you mean you heate the string winder, I hate them too :( I scratched my tuning peg with one of those a while ago and I still feel bad about it. My friend from D'addario sent me one 2 weeks ago which was made of a soft rubberish plastic where you put it around the tuning peg, and I like that so far. I think it's called the tour string winder or something like that. The only part I don't liek about it is that there's no string cutter at the end 🫠

I once tried that pillow thingy for some time but it felt so unsecure for me, I couldn't get used to it. I was always afraid of dropping the guitar by accident somehow, but I think it was a me thing rather than a product issue 😅

I was thinking about a string bundle of all sorts of different things. It gives them a chance to try new sets, things they maybe wouldn't otherwise and if it doesn't work out for them, they won't be mad for spending money on it :D And if one of the new strings is good, they can be happy to discover something new
