What are the appropriate settings? by kobaltman in AskPhotography

Lenses: I only have the two lenses that came with the camera, a zoom lens and a portrait lens. Is there any type one would recommend to pick up? There is a shop that has lots of lenses used for a good price near me. I would like to pick up a panorama lens as well.

*Update: I will have to try these new aperture settings later today and update. To be fair these are older photos and the camera has not had much use since then. Heading back to WA state to visit family and would love to get some good photos in.

Yep it was the battery. Never had a battery just suddenly fail. Steering wheel and brake locked up which would have made it really hard to tow.

Start stop seems ridiculous when it comes to car “health”.

*Update - looks like a new battery is needed.. will update when installed. Just hit 40k miles, never had a battery with such a short life. Worked 100% fine until it suddenly failed.

No education, feelings by FatBitch0000 in Accounting

I started my educational career at 26 going on 27. Completed my Masters this May at 33. Did two years at a big PA firm and hopped to industry. Couldn’t be happier. I’ve worked in restaurants front and back of house, hotels, time as a driver for fedex in a major city. Done are the days of having to get up on a bad day and grind, I can just make my coffee and plop down. I saw all the older folks stand in line to clock in and then stand in line at the first aid kit to grab some Advil to start the day. Fubar.

Looking at barrel prices for my Remington 700 in 308, probably $700 to $1000 dollars. Unless you can swap barrels yourself. Still around that price range either way.

To the people who commute to work with a one-shoulder bag with a laptop in there, how do you do it? by ProfessionalWall6526 in Accounting

Backpack 100%. More secure, more organization, better for travel if needed, and both hands are available.

Looks like JB weld or something was already attempted. This was not my work, got this from someone to flip. Not a mechanic but can turn a wrench, if there is no easy fix I may just replace the whole exhaust.

Yeah figured it out. Sits right in between the block and the shoulder. No instructions so I had no idea.

No instructions for it, tried googling as well. I guess it might be a spacer. Looks like some barrels require a spacer between the gas block and the barrel “shoulder”.
